This post might just be me speaking into the void, with only a few people ever reading it (since it contains neither babes nor monsters, my known specialities) but for a while I've been wanting to say something, and it's overdue.

Simply put, Secret Stash stands behind the Black Lives Matter movement. Equality for all people, regardless of race or creed, is a right that needs to be upheld and protected.

This studio is a small operation so we're not in the same kind of position as the big companies that can donate a massive amount of money to the cause (like Patreon themselves recently did, cheers for that) but I'm writing this post to remind anyone who wants to that they can make a difference even with small actions. Personally, I'm making a deliberate effort to support local small businesses in my hometown that I know are black owned and operated. I'm encouraging friends and family to do the same, and I'll encourage the same of you guys. There are lots of other ways to be an advocate, and I recommend looking them up and taking action.

And this isn't politics, for anyone who might feel like I'm dipping my toes into unsavory waters. Social issues are something which stand outside the political sphere, and those are the waters we are treading in culturally right now, if we want to or not.

I needed to get that off my chest, and hope you all know it matters.
