I've been getting a lot of requests to stream some videos of my animation process for "Cretaceous Seas," which would probably be much less exciting than followers are hoping. To see if it'd really be feasible I recording myself working on a few of the t-rex's breakdown and in-between frames. The clip was originally a full 29 minutes but I've shortened it down to a much more consumable 56 seconds.
This is still only the first pass animation so the pencils are approximately in the right spots but haven't been refined yet. Ayla's frames are being handled on a separate animation layer and are still only roughly keyed in, so you'll see her lag behind a little.
Before anyone asks, he doesn't have teeth yet because there's no way I'm drawing in every tooth for a draft! LOL All the matters with this pass is making sure he moves with the right weight and energy.
