Hey Critical Crew!

October is officially upon us and it's our favorite time of the year  - as well as our third anniversary of the patreon being live! So we figured "what better place to return to than where it all began?" Head back to Gristwood - where the leaves are always turning colors, the crisp feel of fall is always in the air, and the Old'ney Fall Festival keeps the spirits high and the drinks flowing!

This month brings our latest STL for our Apprentice and Loremaster tiers - the Harvest Dragon! This STL file comes presupported by our good friends at TableFlip Foundry.

As always - STL's are NOT backlogged, so be sure to download it locally this month!

Encounters

We've got 5 brand new encounters of varying challenge ratings and settings -ready to drop right into your existing campaigns, or can just as easily be used as a springboard into a new adventure.

Go trick-or-treating at the home of a Candied Patissier Dragon and try to stump her with jokes and riddles; help a concerned farmer track down his missing Haystack Golem before nightfall when the golem goes rogue; and cross paths with an Ol' Floof Spider surrounded by bloodied corpses and handle the fallout of the situation.

Stat Blocks

You get 5 brand new monster stat blocks of various challenge ratings to bring to your table . introduce your table the Ol' Floof Spider - the trusty of steed of Ol' Chap Ettercap himself - as it hauls goods back and forth through the region; check out our latest dragon, the Harvest Dragon; and the impish House Gremlin, stealing socks and food alike!

You also get access to our latest monster template - the Candied template - to make for easy reskinning of existing monsters into a new, thematic variant!

Player Options

Our debut release "Unhallowed Eve" back in October 2021 introduced our first player class - the vampiric Sunscorned - and this month we're putting it back into the spotlight with a new subclass. Check out the Sunscorned: Tradition of the Crimson Rite, and devote yourself to the forbidden studies of blood magic as you use your powers to manipulate others and fuel your spells with your very lifeblood!

We also have our latest player race - the treelike fey known as the Dessid - a race of fey beings composed of vibrant autumn leaves that follow the autumnal season as nomadic wanderers. They travel the far reaches of the land in their desire to experience mortal celebrations and absorb the cultures and customs of the various peoples of the world as they share their stories through mesmerizing dances around bonfires and partake in various festivities. Cherishing life’s fleeting beauty, the dessid live in the moment - gathering wisdom from the cultures they encounter, while maintaining a deep connection to the natural world.

And lastly, we're covering all your player's needs with our 6 latest feats and 3 latest deficiencies.

Items

We've also got our 8 latest items and 3 latest grafts! Reward your players with items like the Bogey Mask and a bottle of Beetle Juice, and help the players augment their physical bodies with Groove-y hand graft or Stitched Flesh graft! And with 8 new sigils (a magical rune system that can be added to an item or equipment to grant it magical abilities) your player will have even more new ways to customize their gear!

September also brings you our 9 latest magic spells. Check out spells like Advance the Plot and Constumed Party !

We've also got 18 total battle maps (gridded and gridless variations) - ready for the included encounters (or just as easily used as standalone maps).
