It's time for the mid-week sneak-peek of next month's "Magic and Mayhem" release!
When the Order of the Blank rose to power, not all the mages stayed to face their inevitable slaughter - a small population fled deep within the earth. They founded the city of Edyn, which became a safe haven for those who were hunted on the surface. As their population grew over the generations, their need for more space necessitated the creation of the Terravators - machines that could carve through the bedrock.
We've got full stats for this gargantuan machine coming next month, so check out this excerpt of lore below:
Terravators are massive multi-legged machines designed by the residents of Edyn to help expand and protect their underground sanctuary, as well as search for material beneath the earth for trade and construction. The machines were initially designed using repurposed Order of the Blank technology, and infused with magical energy during the first years of Edyn’s growth. Only a handful of these massive machines were created, and the knowledge for their construction has been largely lost to time.
Unlike some other machines, terravators rely almost entirely on magic to keep them operational. They are specifically enchanted to ensure they and their crew are immune to antimagical effects, allowing for safe transport of edynites even in Blank-controlled territories. This feature has made them exceedingly desirable by the Arcanuum, with some Arcanuum members going so far as to steal terravators from edynites, slaying their crews and commandeering the machine.
Edyn has been one of my favorite pieces of lore we've created yet and I can't wait to share more with you all!
