November Theme poll results + 2 New Critical Crafting Team Members!

Hey Critical Crew!

We wanted to drop a quick update for you all. For the first time ever, the patron poll ended in a tie! We gave a lot of thought as to how to do a tie-breaker (rock, paper, scissors? a recount of the votes? dance-off??) and we ultimately decided on picking between the two ourselves. With that being said, the dungeon-crawling theme 'Deeper Depths' was selected for November's theme. We already have our team of artists hard at work, and we're getting the content already fleshed out and well underway.

Speaking of content being underway - we also have a very exciting announcement as we've officially brought two new people into the Critical Crafting fold - Sean Walsh as Sensitivity Consultant, writer, and editor; and Connor DeFord as a writer and contributor!

Sean Walsh (he/they) has been DMing for over a year and a half after being a player since the late 2000's. He lives in Florida with his husband, his four cats, and as many sourcebooks as he can get his hands on. If you've ever met him in person, you already know at least one ridiculous happening from his campaign.

Sean originally joined as a patron and quickly started brainstorming ideas inside the Discord community, wanting to get involved in whatever capacity he could. Sean became our Super Fan over the past 8 months has become a vital part of the team. Aside from writing and contributing ideas for the releases, Sean will now be serving as our Sensitivity Consultant going forward, helping us review the content and make certain it is friendly and welcoming to people from all walks of life.

And the latest addition to the Critical Crafting team is Connor DeFord. Connor (younger brother of Cameron, and one of the original players in our home D&D campaign) has been playing D&D for the past 5 years, and DM'ing for 3 of them. A lifelong nerd of all manners, Connor can often be found playing and/or running for one of his numerous D&D groups, playing ultimate frisbee, or playing video games.

Connor has created various types of homebrew content for his different campaigns - everything from player races and subclasses, magic items and spells, and encounters and maps - and found himself pitching us ideas for various themes. It was only a matter of time before Connor officially joined the team, and the rest is now history!

We are always committed to bringing you all the very best content each and every month, and expanding the team will allow us to continue to raise the bar in the quality of what you can expect.

Stay tuned for more soon!
