(This is Zach) So I wanted to film a raw true therapy session to show people it’s helpful and it’s not scary to do. We were approached by Betterhelp to use one of their therapists as a sponsored podcast. I agreed as long as it was super authentic and not just a fake thing for a brand. So we filmed it and I was very vulnerable and think it was a great behind the curtain peak into someone’s mind. Also encouraging for people who thinking of starting. Now we are hesitant to post it because people have opinions on betterhelp. All this to say what do you think we should do. Can people do research and have and leave honest comments and answer the poll.

I think yes, because at the end of the day, everyone needs someone to talk to guilt free, and receive help, in whatever form that is. Therapy, prayer, or whatever avenue you chose to pursue. But that would show people that y’all actually are vulnerable, and this isn’t just one big bit.

2024-06-24 00:51:11 +0000 UTCI’d recommend posting—along with the sponsor disclaimer at the start add the context you gave us here - that you’re doing it to help encourage others to open up about mental health & get professional help when needed, that you only agreed if it would be genuinely vulnerable, and that this is to show *one* option for people to do so among the many that exist. If your contract with Better Help allows you, you should encourage people to get help in ANY form even if it’s not them
