Love that you let yourself immerse into the music first and yet are willing to circle back for the lyrics after you get the initial kick. I'm excited for this ride because you being a musician, drummer, and producer covers a lot of what makes people appreciate their music. There's way too much to talk about with their songs, and the lore is fun, but for me it's mostly guess-work and though they built a fantastic world, the artiface is the least of it. My take is that the lore was a platform for artistic delivery to protect the creator's vulnerability, and it might not have worked the way he anticipated when fame and success came around. My guess is that this new LP will be about the struggles with it all. Every album and even each song builds from the story of the previous, and play order can be important because there are call back easter eggs, but the full artistry is the real deal for me. Their music engulfs me and then his lyrics smash me on the rocks like I haven't heard in many years.

And for the love of God make sure you do not look into their identities. Keeping anonymity is both part of the story and respectful to the wishes of the members.
