Since I am basically having to start all over again with my content being wiped/channel being deleted, I am looking at the best way to move forward.
Eventually, if all goes well I hope I will be able to make another YouTube channel at some point and make new content as well as post my old videos.
Another thing Im looking at is Wisio and Patreon. The fees for both of these platforms are reasonably high which has always been a bit frustrating but I never really looked at alternatives as it felt too complicated to change over. However, as everything has now been wiped anyway I have decided to look into it.
I have come across a site called Ko-fi which offers membership such as Patreon and commissions such as Wisio so everything could be in one place making it easier for you and me.
A downside is they don’t have an app which is no big difference for customs but may be annoying for Patreon? I’ve also never really heard of anyone using it so can’t be sure what it’s like.
Im basically wondering if anyone else has ever used it, your thoughts on it and how you would all feel if I made the switch (of course after the Patreon month has ended for everyone and all Wisio customs were completed). ?
(Suggestions for alternative platforms you think would be better also welcome)

She eventually updated to using a private yt channel but even those can get dinged by the yt overlords. ID say try vimeo, at least for a bit. I'll support either way tho 🙏

I am very sorry this has happened to you, its very unfair My 2 cents is that given that you are starting from scratch, you might want to try casting your net as far as you can. For example the videos that you upload to TikTok could also be uploaded to Insta as reels with the asmr #. I know there are a number of creators that use twitch as well. Provided its not too time consuming you could sign up to these platforms as well as the ones you mentioned and let the market decide which it likes best & when one or two winners emerge hone in on them. You could create a linktree with all your platforms, I know there was a post on the ASMR subreddit asking what happened to your channel with recipients sad to learn of what happened. Perhaps you could post the linktree there, the sub has 300k subscribers Whatever you choose, i wish you all the best and hope you can get back on your feet asap Take care 👍

2025-01-31 00:52:48 +0000 UTCREAD ME ‼️⚠️⚠️ Make a channel, to upload videos on, make a separate channel to upload the same videos but unlisted/private, to act as storage. Keep patreon channel seperate from both so no one gets effected. The new channel you are going to make should resemble your older channel as closely as possible for reaching the right audience. I used to work as a social media manager.

But I think it would work fine given a few months of transition time and publicizing it on any platforms you can still post on (Tiktok, here, Wisio, etc.)

2025-01-30 16:26:18 +0000 UTCTikTok was definitely my new focus before all this so will definitely be keeping it going:) I haven't found a source as efficient as YouTube for Patreon posts yet and tbh since the new channel I set up is going to remain strictly for unlisted and unmonetised videos only seen by you guys so no one that would report the content, I am reasonably confident that it should be safe to use especially as it took over 4 years for them to terminate my actual channel. However I am all ears to alternatives (I looked into Odysee and it is super annoying lol)

2025-01-30 16:24:33 +0000 UTCI think that starting a new YouTube channel, keeping Patreon and using a separate site/YT account to list potentially problematic (in YouTube’s opinion) content unlisted like tongue tapping is the way to go, with the latter being linked from your Patreon account obviously. Also I’m not sure how many previous videos you have managed to salvage but I know where lots have been posted but not sure how to gain access to them/download etc.

2025-01-30 16:20:41 +0000 UTCThe ban is supposed to be permanent so they can terminate any new channel you make so I am just discussing things with other creators at the minute who have also started over to gauge if I'll have issues creating a new channel before I do it:)

2025-01-30 16:15:29 +0000 UTCYeah that's my main concern but the Patreon fees are taking a huge cut so it could end up worth it in the longer run. I've always made it a priority for my Patreon to be affordable for almost anyone so I don't think I'd want people paying for both, I'd probably post the same content on both platforms for a month or two while directing everyone to Ko-fi as much as possible and eventually closing Patreon

Then when you decide to post to a new channel just keep it as PG as possible and if people want things like tongue tapping or whatever else that can be seen as “sexual” you can post onto here. Also I personally would enjoy more tik tok Lives or just posts on tik tok in general. I’m sure you’ll grow and be bigger than you ever were before.

2025-01-30 16:04:15 +0000 UTCi think your should get another platform but also start another chanel to continue your growth i think you just need a new email to start a new youtube so that new people can still find you and subscribe perhaps not so much spit painting on youtube and if so label it something else and careful with the thumbnail just because i know youtube mostly bases your channel off thumbnails

Maybe keep patreon how it is, posting old & new vids but also make a ko-fi for new content & customs and try that out for a few months? As long as each platform isn't getting the same content/vids it will be worth paying for both

2025-01-30 15:49:08 +0000 UTCIt sucks complete ass that not all of your YouTube subs are even aware of what's going on, and you'll probably lose some of them during the process if finding a new platform, but whatever you choose I'll be okay with it. I'm just mad all those videos are gone😭
