Lots of y'all have been requesting these movies, so I hope you're as excited as I am! The Black Stallion is the only movie on this list I've already seen, but no one on YT has ever reacted to it, which is a CRIME. So I'm going to be the first! It'll be a rewatch for me, but I haven't seen it in years, so it'll be a fun trip down memory lane.
5/10: Escape from Alcatraz
5/17: The Black Stallion (Day before the Preakness Stakes)
5/24: Taking Chance (for Memorial Day)
5/31: Winner of Western Poll
6/7: Secretariat (Day before the Belmont Stakes)

Good schedule, Madison! Not much of a “horse guy”, so “Secretariat” and “The Black Stallion” aren’t high on my list of movies to watch. But I’m sure you, and others, will like them as they are both highly rated. Just not my cup of tea. “Taking Chance” is a terrific / heartbreaking movie, also highly rated, with a great performance by Kevin Bacon (nominated for an Emmy, and won a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for his performance). And for me, at last, a reactor understands what Memorial Day (used to be “Decoration Day”) signifies.
