MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - ROGUE NATION (2015) Full Length REACTION!

I feel like the introduction of Ilsa Faust really added a fresh dynamic to the franchise. I also find it interesting just how much of a spotlight they gave to her character, seemingly not afraid that it might take away from Cruise. Not only did she save Ethan's life twice in the same movie, but they even gave the big fight scene with the Bone Doctor at the end to her. Regarding the underwater scene: Yes, Tom Cruise was really holding his breath. I think he trained to eventually be able to hold his breath for a full 6 minutes. (There was a minor news story last year when Avatar 2 came out, about how Kate Winslet beat Tom Cruise's breath-holding record.) However, one criticism people had of this scene is that they used CGI for the backgrounds, which gave it a vaguely artificial look. I do think it does minorly detract from the authenticity of what Tom was doing. Man, think of how much more insane that scene would feel if they'd built an entirely practical set to interact with. I also think the motorcycle chase deserve special mention. Yeah, Cruise was doing that too, and I personally feel that this was the most dangerous stuntwork he's ever done for the MI franchise. (Did you catch the shot when his knee almost scraped against the ground as he was rounding a corner?) So much could've gone wrong, and it was all dependent on his skill level. Even the Burj Khalifa climb was safer in comparison , because at least there a harness would've saved him if he'd slipped or messed up. (Conversely, I believe the motorcycle riding for Ilsa Faust was mostly a stunt double. The occasional closeups of Ferguson's face in that sequence were inserts.) Regarding the idea of doing sports reactions: This is actually pretty cool, and I'm surprised that no one has thought of doing it before. I think you should try it, if only for the novelty. (Hopefully it won't cut into your TV/movie reactions.) You could start a new trend. I admit that I probably won't tune in, mostly because I don't watch the Braves. However, if this had been about 15 years ago and you were reacting to the Red Sox, that would be another story. There was a pretty long stretch when I was literally watching every single Red Sox game, and participating on a live message board in real time. Your idea of doing a live sports reaction is very much in the same spirit.

This is easily my favorite MI movie -- to this point. :) If you really liked the opera scene, I highly recommend checking out Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Man Who Knew Too Much." I won't comment further on why.
