Alright, I've stated that I was going to lock down progress updates on Lacie for backers only, and yet, this post is free. "Why is that?" I hear you ask. "Th3overseer, why are you so attractive?" I also hear you ask. "I am a keen practitioner of incest." You also confess to me, unbidden.

Because this isn't strictly about Lacie, so much as it a small side project I feel compelled to create. Don't worry, it's not some big time sink or anything. It's small and simple, but since you attractive people are here, financially contributing to me because you like my mods, it's only natural I keep you in the loop as to my non-shitpost mod plans, and necessity has thrust another mod plan on me.

Specifically, there's a really old FNV mod called "Free the Slaves" that lets you... Free the slaves in Caesar's fort. Great idea, we should've had that option in the base game. Problem is, that mod is really buggy. Even worse, it's ancient, and the mod author is long gone... But there's a modern "redux" of the mod on the nexus already, and it's fully voiced! ...By "AI" text-to-speech software. Nope, I won't abide that in my load order. And if the old mod is too buggy to function, and the new one uses that infernal software, well, I have no choice. I'll do it myself.

So, that's where we're at. Look forward to that in the coming weeks. I'm probably going to call it something like "Abolitionist Simulator" so it can exist as its own entity, instead of "Free the Slaves But Different!"
