Since her divorce ten years ago from Balthazar’s wealthy father, she has put every ounce of love she had into her son, smothering him with praise and affirmation creating rose colored glasses that make her unable to see where Balthy may be struggling. As Balthy has become a teenager, Abbie has assumed he needs her less and she’s channeled her passions into political causes like a current senatorial candidate she’s in an ongoing romantic relationship with.
