***We require 1 option for this role for Season 3 (season 1 & 2 are shooting back to back). This is imperative, we will be recasting an older version for Season 4***
18–22 years old (to play 18). European or Middle Eastern/North African Mediterranean. Youngest of the sons of Jesse and the only son of Nitzevet, David is lean but strong, scruffy, handsome and charming. To no surprise, David is perhaps the most dynamic character in the show. He is pious and God-fearing, but toward his enemies, he is a bold, trash-talking zealot. Throughout his life, he takes on many roles, including a seer, king, warrior, lover, musician, and poet... LEAD

We aim to cast all roles authentically. Those who identify as Jewish, of Middle Eastern or North African descent are strongly encouraged to apply.

This will be a hugely physical role, we will require a lot of fight training and horseback riding. David is also an expert musician and singer, although not a prerequisite, please flag if he has any ability in these two departments.

Accent: For all early casting, actors should read in their own accent. The hope is to find an accent or accents for each tribe, family or region. Bottom line.... at this stage please don't worry about accent.

Storyline: A fresh, detailed and epic history of the legendary tale of ''David & Goliath" and the King that rose up after that single slingshot.
