#1155 A Super Dragon Attacks
Added 2025-03-27 17:37:19 +0000 UTC'Sup, it’s me again.
The trade fair wrapped up without a hitch.
Well, there was a bit of chaos near the end thanks to Letasreit & Horkosfon’s sudden arrival, but everything eventually settled down.
The beans they introduced were a hit with the visitors, and they even managed to secure some new business contracts.
"Thanks for your patronage! If you’ve purchased some of our beans, we also offer delivery services, so don’t hesitate to ask! For all your bean-related needs, trust the Letasreit & Horkosfon Bean Company!"
"Sign up now, and you can get a free one-year subscription to our natto service."
They’re just rolling out new services one after another to hook in more customers...!
Seriously, these girls are terrifying.
With all that, the trade fair seemed like it would become a fond memory... almost as if it was already being stored away in the past...!
But the curtains refused to close just yet.
"A DRAGONNNN!”
"A DRAGON! THERE’S A DRAGON HEREEEE!!!"
Huh?!
The trade fair is descending into chaos again?!
A dragon, you say?!
Veil, is this your doing?!
"I’m right here, though?"
Veil is in the middle of closing up shop, happily slurping down some ramen at our self-declared afterparty.
If it’s not Veil, then who the hell is it?
In our circles, "dragon" is practically synonymous with Veil. If it’s not her, then that’s an even bigger problem!
Honestly, it’d be so much easier if it just turned out to be her!
"How rude, Master! Tremble before my mighty presence!!!"
Before I could even fully process the situation, the dragon in question swoops in.
It makes a grand landing in the open space of the trade fair venue.
And this dragon… seeing it up close, it’s way bigger than a normal one.
It’s at least two sizes larger than Veil’s dragon form.
But the biggest difference is its color.
White.
Not just any white—radiant, gleaming, pure white.
No, it’s actually shining.
It’s like untouched, freshly fallen snow. So pure that even silver would look dull in comparison.
A dragon this brilliantly white… I don’t recognize it.
No, wait. I do.
"Alexander?!"
"Indeed, it has been a while, Saint."
With those words, the shining white dragon transforms into a human form.
And sure enough, it is Alexander.
He looks exactly the same in human form, long white hair and a flowing white beard, the very image of a wise and gentle old man.
"Apologies for the sudden visit. I heard there was an interesting event happening here today."
"Uh… huh?!"
That event… literally just finished, though.
Don’t tell me he’s about to say something like, "And now, for today’s main event: a bloodbath!"
No, he wouldn’t. Alexander is way too respectable for that.
Let me take a moment to explain why I’m so nervous around him.
To put it simply, he’s the strongest being in the world.
No, calling him the world’s strongest doesn’t even begin to cover it.
The strongest in the universe?
The strongest across dimensions?
If this dragon got even a little serious, entire universes would be erased, and in their place, new ones would be born. That’s how absurdly powerful he is.
So no matter how nice and kind-hearted Alexander may be, underestimating him is simply not an option.
"Hawawawawawa…!"
Look, even Veil, who’s also a dragon, just let out a "hawawa."
She instinctively understands the sheer difference in power between them. Only a fellow dragon could fully grasp just how terrifying the gap is.
But I need to get a grip.
Because the thing is, Alexander is genuinely a good person.
Really, really good...!
"I-It’s been a while! What brings you here today?!"
"Mm. As I said, I was curious about the event you hosted."
Yes, but… that event already ended without a hitch...!
"Actually, there’s been a bit of an issue with my dungeon. The number of visitors has been declining."
Huh? What...?!
That’s surprising. Alexander is a rare breed, a dragon who genuinely cares about human life.
Even the dungeon he oversees is managed with adventure-seekers in mind, balancing safety and entertainment.
The Adventurers' Guild itself has praised his dungeon’s design and upkeep.
If attendance is dropping in such a well-maintained dungeon, I can see why he’d be worried!!!
"After investigating, I found the cause is right here.”
Huh?!
"Word has spread that you’re building a new country, and many adventurers have migrated here for work. As a result, fewer people are visiting my dungeon-”
"I’M SOOOORRRYYYYY!!!"
I never imagined that founding my own nation would end up inconveniencing Alexander!
Is this what they call the butterfly effect?!
Just to be clear, I have zero intention of antagonizing Alexander!
Please, for the love of everything, don’t retaliate or anythingggg!!!
"Calm down, Saint. I’m not here to pick a fight."
"In fact, I’ve explained multiple times that the drop in visitors is only a minor fluctuation at best…"
Hiiih?! Who’s that?!
A new character suddenly appeared, standing at Alexander’s side!
I don’t recognize him, but judging by his appearance… he’s a Lifeless King.
Yeah, he’s all bones and skin.
"Forgive my late introduction. I am Lord Alexander’s loyal servant, a Lifeless King.”
Yup, called it.
But wait, is it even possible to subjugate a Lifeless King?
…Well, if it’s Alexander, then yeah.
On the contrary, who else could possibly pull that off?
"Lord Saint, your reputation frequently reaches my lord’s ears. I have long wished to meet you in person, and I am most pleased that fate has allowed it."
"Th-Thank you…!"
You flatter me.
Lifeless Kings live ridiculously long lives, so they either have incredibly refined personalities… or they’re total lunatics. No in-between.
"As I have repeatedly advised my lord, this minor dip in visitors is temporary. Given the overall population growth, attendance should naturally recover over time. However...”
The butler looks exasperated.
Meanwhile, Alexander’s eyes are burning with fiery determination.
"No! Simply waiting for things to change is unacceptable! As a dungeon guardian, I must take action to revitalize my domain!!!"
But your dungeon is already thriving.
Even if the numbers dipped slightly because of my country, it’s probably just within the margin of error, right?
"That’s why I’ve come! I heard that today’s trade fair was an opportunity to showcase regional specialties! So, I thought, what better chance to spread awareness of my dungeon?!"
No, no, this is a trade fair.
A dungeon isn’t a product, it’s a place where things are produced.
And besides...
"The trade fair is already over."
“GYAAH!”
Alexander and his butler collapse in shock.
I mean, come on.
You showed up this late. Even Letasreit barely made it in time. We can’t just keep accepting people indefinitely.
"No way… Can’t you do something about it…?!"
"My lord has made such a heartfelt request. Can’t you make an exception?"
Sorry, but no.
I have to enforce the rules properly.
"Even though you’re terrified of my brother, you still uphold the rules. As expected of Master!"
You bet I will.
Rules exist for a reason.
If I just ignored them now, it’d be unfair to everyone who followed them properly.
"I see… Rules are rules, after all…"
Alexander easily backs down.
Despite being the strongest in the universe, he still respects order. That’s honestly kind of adorable.
"Wait a darn second!!!"
And just as everything seemed settled, a new challenger appears?
