AMA - Ask me anything session #1

Thought it was a good idea to start some new formats! This will be the first of - hopefully - many others ^^
Title is clear: you're free to ask me anything you want! It can be something about art or about my life, but please rememebe to keep it SFW!

I have answered to the first question below ^^ quick answer is my parents and anime in general (started with pokemon and dragonball). My favorite medium is watercolor, but I haven't got the patience ahahah I have tried to a couple times tho and it makes me feel super calm. Beside that, I would def say digital art because I'm used to it now! Some tips for sure are to always draw, even if you think that your works are not up to the standards, because practice will pay off at some point. Always go out of your comfort zone, experiment and have no fear to rethink your style if you don't feel comfortable with it. And never ever compare yourself to other artists, always look at your old pieces to see how much you've improved. Also, compared to when I started, there are many free tutorials online ^^ would be a great idea to check those out and use references. Last one, using tools is not cheating. Use that liquify tool and all the color corrections you need!

2022-04-17 12:33:48 +0000 UTCJema @jemadoodles · 20 hrs What inspired you to start drawing, and what age were you? :) Chairae @chairae · 20 hrs Replying to Jema I started drawing as soon as I started using a pencil ^^ my parents have always loved art: my dad built frames for paintings as a job and my mom didn't pursue art because she had me but she has been working in a museum for years. Let's say they both had a great influence on me ^^ one of the first things I remember is my mom drawing for me swans so I could color them and my dad teaching me a trick to draw donal duck 😂😂 I was probably 5 years old or less. Also anime and pokemon had a huge impact on me, hence why my first drawings always feature Goku or 1st gen Pokemon! I'll be sure to share some stuffs here as soon as I get my drawings back - they're in Italy ;-;
