Cee broke off her relationship with Paris previously she moved out of their small town on the edge of Caddo Lake to Houston, where she works as a babysitter (though she tells everyone she's got a good job at a law firm) - but has returned for her uncle's funeral, and is inevitably swept back up in Paris, desperate for things to be different this time around. Eventually, Cee is left to fend for herself, ragged, thin, older, living out of her truck with a baby she doesn't want...LEAD

His son Paris works for him, along with a co-worker, Jake, and Ben takes his job very seriously. Ben lost his wife, Paris' mother, several years ago and though Paris is still obsessed with trying to figure out what was wrong with his mother that caused her to have seizures and drown, Ben has moved on and even has a new woman in his life--though he tells Paris that he thinks about his mother every day. Ben would like nothing more than for Paris to move on with his life, too. Ben gave Paris a job working for him against his better judgement, knowing that Paris may not be quite ready for the responsibility... SUPPORTING
