Storyline: Five families of magicians sworn to protect our world must battle an enemy who's picking them off one by one. By day they live

Not just poorly rested, but worn down by life." The father of three chilrden of varying interest in maintaining a relationship with him - Regan, Cordelia, and Gabriel. When one of his colleages in the Magic Order turns up dead, he leads the investgation to figure out what happened, but his
family fears that he is becoming too paranoid for his own good. A powerful magician who lives in
a fantastical mansion, he uses his all of his skills to travel the globe, but it turns out his worries were correct...

"Beautiful but unshowered and dishelved. Dark eyes, dark hair, tan skin: half something, but it's hard to pin her race." Leonard's daughter, Regan's half-sister. "It looks like she drank her breakfast, which she didn. An off-the-shoulder sweatshirt, cutoff denim shorts to her ass, and spiked combat boots." She is a misanthropic drunk who is more dangerous than her father realizses...

eyes, which look none too happy to see Leonard and Cordeilia." He wants to live life completely

Half-black. Dressed in a "leather jacket," he turns out to be Leonard's son. Married to Jamal,
father of Seren and Jordyn. He has a "blue collar vibe," unlike his husband - "opposites attract."
The closest of his family to his father, he runs a nightclub...
