NETFLIX'S MYSTERY GIRL

Tiffany Haddish will star in this superhero movie for Netflix based on the comic from Dark Horse. Captain Marvel and Tomb Raider Reboot writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet wrote the script.

Logline: A woman with unexplained psychic abilities teams up with a hapless cop to solve crimes and find the origins of her peers.

[TRINE HAMPSTEAD AKA NATASHA PETROV]

A Los Angeles woman who woke up one day four years ago with no memory, and a strange Voice in her head that feeds her information about everything and everyone she sees. She'snbeen living in relative seclusion until she crosses paths with cop DAVE COOPER, who is aware of her abilities and wants her help solving a homicide. Deeming him trustworthy, she agrees to team up with him if he'll help her get to the bottom of how
she got her powers, and how to turn them off. The two wind up falling for each other, and Cooper help Trine realize that if she has such superhuman abilities, she should use them for good
rather than waste them. Trine eventually crosses paths with KELVIN, who reveals that she herself is a scientist named Natasha who invented a technology that hooks the brain directly to the internet. Kelvin wants to take control of Trine's mind and turn her into a weapon, but Cooper helps free her
from Kelvin's clutches. Now in full control of her powers - and able to turn it off at will - Trine beings a romance with Cooper...

who he is (flaws and all) and still believes he's a good, admirable man. He likewise helps her understand that she should use her powers to help people, and not become a terrified recluse. He helps free her from Kelvin and they begin dating...

"Two schlubby detectives (think Danny McBride and Walton Goggins)." The constantly taunt Cooper for his ineptitude, and pursue him after he and Trine are framed for a murder. Trine learns that they are stealing drugs from evidence, and Cooper is
able to blackmail them into helping him. He also, in the process, learns that they're a couple...

Initially posing as another victim of the experiment that gave Trine her powers, he claims that he and Trine fell in love during their captivity. He uses this ruse to get close to her, ultimately kidnapping her and telling her the truth - that they developed
the telepathic technology together, but she got cold feet and fled. Now he wants to enhance her powers and take control of her mind, turning her into a weapon. She escapes and kills him, with help from Cooper...
