Added 2020-11-06 16:49:17 +0000 UTCI have heard after the trial that Depp had talks with WB and Disney about his future with the PotC and Fantastic Beasts franchises. I have heard WB paid close attention to the trial to see the results. After he lost they talked about reducing his role for the sequel but now the decision was made to recast Depp. With Disney talks have stopped so he won't be coming back to the PotC franchise either.

I still don't think people fully understand how devastating that Sun verdict was. Things could get more legally challenging for Depp and no studio is going to want to deal with that.
