Logline is "A recounting of a violent 1997 gun battle between bank robbers armed with automatic weapons and outgunned responding officers of the LAPD."
Jaime Foxx and Rosa Salazar (Alita) are in talks to star in the two main leads.

Strong physique. A police patrol officer and family man who is among the first to respond to reports of the bank robbery in progress. He is one of the first to be shot, multiple times, through his squad car by armor piercing rounds fired by the suspects. He spends most of the story bleeding out and trying to remain conscious while officers struggle with how to extract him under withering fire. He bonds with dispatcher De La Cruz during the ordeal, and is eventually rescued and survives.

A cute, rookie Dispatcher who finds herself having to direct LAPD response to the bank robbery and ensuing lengthy gunfight that has officers down and others pinned, lacking the firepower to respond. She behaves like a real soldier and keeps Whitfield on the line sporadically throughout until he is rescued
and she is able to take a moment to break down before returning to her station after it's all over.
