18-23 years old to play 17. Character is a 17-year-old non-binary stoner kid. They could be Black, Latinx, Afro-Latinx, Asian, Middle Eastern, American Indian/Native American or multiracial. Cal also identifies as AFAB (assigned female at birth) and presents in a gender-fluid way as the season begins. The story of the season sees them finding ways to be more comfortable in their body, including binding their chest and leaning into a more masc presentation. Cal is anti-establishment to the core, with a fierce sense of justice, and accepts nothing at face value. Quick-witted and with a keen intellect, they will happily and effortlessly outsmart anyone who dares to imply otherwise. They are playful and sarcastic, fielding off criticism with wisecrack remarks, although they're not afraid to lay themself bare either. Cal is well-versed in political and social activism, wearing their heart on their sleeve as they passionately campaign against injustice and inequality, standing up for themself and those around them. They enjoy looking at the world from a slightly different perspective, and are always themself, regardless of who’s around.
