Next FMA Feature Poll!

Now that you've had a chance to play the update, it's time to vote on the next feature!

If you didn't play 0.5.0 yet, here's a little spoiler for context:

Wanda's story now progresses to a point where I would like to introduce a feeding mini-game. For this branch of the story to continue, this game will need to be introduced! It won't just be for Wanda though, it will also be used with various characters throughout the game.

That's not the only feature I need to add though, so since we just did a bit of story let's get another foundational feature in the game.

Feeding mini-game

My intention is to make a simple resource/time management game with this. I'm not yet certain on the details, but I'll outline the idea I have so far: in the first version you'll have a bar that represents Wanda's "fullness", a calorie counter, a bunch of donuts and some soda. You'll be able to feed Wanda donuts, which she'll happily guzzle down, and each donut will cause the "fullness" bar to fill gradually and the calorie count to go up. If the bar fills completely, Wanda will want to stop and if the bar goes over... Well let's just say that the calorie count goes down again. Donuts will add the most calories, and drink will slow or prevent fullness. The goal will be to maximise the calorie count when fullness hits the top, as this will result in more weight gain for the character. Later on I'll likely add extra features, such as belly rubs to ease fullness, and the ability to purchase appetite enhancing drugs to use.

Time mechanic

This one is becoming more and more necessary with each update, as everything in the game will be tied to it! Calories will be applied to each character's weight over time, character schedules will move with the time, and events will happen at certain times of day. Ellie's story won't be continued until we can make it to the next day, and Wanda will hit a roadblock because of time after the feeding session is complete. It's a fairly simple mechanic that will add time management to the game, but there won't be a ticking timer to worry about - time will progress each time you perform a certain activity. For example, if you choose to have breakfast in the morning, you might find that Wanda has moved on from the bakery to do something else. It'll take a bit of time to implement though, because of how many other mechanics relate to it, such as cooking, eating, lifting, etc.

Money-making mechanic

You're going to have to make some money to buy food and other useful things to help gain and help others gain! The first method will be a part-time pizza delivery job for the player. This gameplay loop will have you visiting some new people while increasing your money, and who knows, maybe you'll discover a new pizza-loving feedee while you're out? This mechanic will also lead to the implementation of a shopping mechanic and an inventory mechanic!
