Tensei Skill Shop Chapter 15

Tensei Skill Shop

Disclaimer: I own nothing

Chapter 15:

“Progress report.” The black-clad man ordered the subordinate before him.

“Everything is proceeding according to plan, sir.”

“Good. If anything happens, I want you to report it. Immediately. Understood?”

“Perfectly, sir.”

“Back to work. Make sure the others know as well,” The man instructed.

The grunt nodded, turning around and heading for the basement entrance. Neither of them noticed that there was a third person present, or that he was following the grunt as he descended into the underground space beneath the Game Corner.

“Glad they finally got the air pumps working here,” The grunt muttered as he went down yet another flight of stairs.

Just as he said, there was a gradual flow of air that helped prevent the place from becoming too stale, which was very helpful given the amount of dust lingering around. The deeper the grunt descended, the stuffier and dustier it became. The source of it all turned out to be the various work crews on the fourth floor, working on expanding the place.

There were various Ground-type Pokemon present. I could see Sandshrews, Sandslashes, Digletts, Dugtrios, Rhyhorns, and even an Onix working around the place. With some Cubones and Marowaks as guards, the smaller members were performing the finer work at their trainers’ command, while the bigger-sized Pokemon excavated out large sections in turns, and human workers placed tiling, wires and other things into place to round it all off. Their practiced movements showed long experience in this sort of construction work, and judging by the size of this chamber versus the ones above it, it would only take a few more days before it was finished.

Too bad I’m about to cause some delays. I headed over to where some of the workers were taking a break behind a sheet to block out most of the dust. Let’s see… ooh, nice.

The rest area wasn’t only stocked with refreshments; the construction work that was being carried out occasionally required the use of actual Pokemon moves instead of normal physical power, but they couldn’t just pop the Pokemon into a healing machine to recover their energy, so they had to come up with an alternative. Thus in the boxes stacked around the rest area were things like Potions, Ethers, and some of the more valuable stuff like PP Up, which increased the max limit of a move for a single Pokemon. Various items that could keep the Pokemon in good health and able to work around the clock, apparently smuggled in with the prizes that could be won through the games upstairs.

Steal this, steal that, steal your move… I felt the move-turned-skill settle inside of me, and continued on to the next target. So that’s Bone Rush, Bulldoze, Dig… oh wow, this one’s got Fissure! Yoink.

In the game, Team Rocket grunts usually used minor Pokemon like Rattatas, Zubats, Koffings and Grimers, but this bunch clearly had teams more specialized to handle construction work. I also noticed that there weren’t any Psychic or Grass Pokemon present. So no chance of getting detected sneaking around, while the latter was probably due to wanting to avoid alerting Erika or some other Grass-type Trainers in this place.

At least, that was the assumption I had. I didn’t know what the forensic and investigative methods were like in this world.

After making one quick round of all the convenient targets, I headed back upstairs to see what else I could get. From what notes I could spot lying around, the place was being set up as a central location to oversee criminal operations all over Kanto. Saffron appeared to be too hot due to the focus on Psychic-types, and since Dark-types were still somewhat unknown, that location was not an option. As such, they were currently putting in communication and power systems around the place.

“Bzzt~” The floating metal orb turned, its lone eye scanning left and right.

The electrician working on the generator turned around, his eyes passing over my hidden form. “Hm? No, there’s no one there.”

“Nite.”

They both turned back to their work, and I decided not to risk a second approach. So this version of stealth doesn’t work that well against whatever electromagnetic detection the Magnemite and its evolved form uses. Oh well.

I managed to swipe a few more TMs along the way, before tagging along with one of the grunts leaving the place, taking advantage of his departure to get past the entrance without leaving any sign of my passing. Before going any further, I stopped by in a secluded alleyway to handle one of the consequences of venturing down into that place.

“[Clean],” I intoned.

A small wave of energy coated my body, then faded away just as quickly as it appeared. I was pretty pleased with the result, since it cleared away all the small particles of dust and dirt my body picked up, as well as the sweat caused by being in that stuffy place. Now pleasantly refreshed, I continued on my way back to the hotel.

There was a slight tremor beneath my feet as I walked down the street, and from the reactions of some of the people around me, I wasn’t the only one who had noticed; the result of my thievery had caused a Ground-type Pokemon to mess up its move slightly, and I was pretty sure that the increased attention would have Team Rocket laying low for a bit.

“Rick-tan, welcome back!” Matsu greeted me when I entered our hotel room. “Did it go well?”

“Quite well, I’d say. Uzume still isn’t back yet?”

She tapped her temple with a finger. “I’m in contact with her. I’ll link you up right now.”

The sensation of being mentally connected clicked in my head, and I could hear my other Sekirei’s voice.

<Rick-kun?! You’re done already?>

<Yes, I just arrived back at the hotel. They didn’t have any Psychic Pokemon there.>

<Well, it’s not like you would have known beforehand,> She replied.

<Any problems on your end, Uzume-tan?> Matsu asked, even as she continued to watch the TV in front of her.

<None. Can you still see us?>

<Yes. There’s another camera off to your left.>

As I watched, the image of Uzume on the TV screen paused, then turned towards the screen. Eevee was in her arms, and while the resolution wasn’t good enough to show the Pokemon’s features clearly, it was enough to see its ears flicking around.

<How’s Eevee?> I asked.

<She’s very well-behaved. Aren’t you, sweetie?> Uzume hefted the brown fox-like Pokemon in her arms. <Yup, she is.>

The brunette walked offscreen, heading for the shop counter of her last stop.

“So,” I verbally asked Matsu, “Did it work?”

“Went off without a hitch!” She replied with a wink and a thumbs up.

“Ah good, saves us the trouble of having to perform another robbery.”

Although the initial plan was to sneak in and steal a bunch of TMs and other stuff from the Department Store, Matsu came up with a better, and less risky, idea. Based on some of the data we acquired from Silph, we learned just how TMs were made based on Pokemons who naturally developed those moves, and how they functioned to impart the same move to other Pokemon who couldn’t. I had been so focused on grabbing the TMs that I had forgotten the real treasure was what they contained, until she reminded me.

With [‘Creation’], and a bit of help from [Editing], I crafted a skill that could copy and extract the skill data from the TMs, and [Bestowed] it on Uzume. She would pay a visit to the store and examine their goods, thus acquiring the skill data that way. We also had some money to spare, so instead of stealing the evolution stones, we were just going to buy one of each. Since we now had an Eevee with us, that action would serve towards our cover story.

<Alright, I’m done.> Uzume reported, <They packed it up safely, so there’s no need to worry about Eeveee touching the stones and evolving without us meaning her to.>

<Good job,> I praised her, sensing her pleasure in return. <We’ll head out now and meet you at the small shopping street midway.>

<Got it. I’ll be getting a few other things for Eevee with the remaining funds.>

Matsu raised the remote and shut off the TV, before getting up and stretching, which did a lot to show off her buxom figure.

“Nnnnnuuuaah~ It’s been great here, but I’m looking forward to getting back to our place,” She said.

I picked up our bags. “Same here. I kind of miss our bed.”

“Our bed, huh… Are you thinking of what we could be doing in said bed?” The perverted Sekirei teased.

I clamped my mouth shut rather than respond, though she continued to sexually harass me even as we left the room, only stopping once we were out in the lobby. We paid the extra cost of the late checkout, and departed in the direction Uzume’s presence was coming from.

Despite all our caution, the Kanto police force didn’t seem to have caught onto our trail, which was a relief. The bigger issue was the sudden reveal of a new Eeveelution on the news, with the scientist owner I met appearing at a press conference with a slightly annoyed Espeon by his side, answering what few questions he could from the reporters.

I had to admit, I was curious to see what would have changed the next time I visited this world.

We met up with Uzume and Eevee with no problems, and after stepping out of public sight, I took Eevee from Uzume’s arms, holding the female Pokemon up in front of me.

“Eevee.”

“Vee?” She looked at me with curious innocence.

“We’re about to go to another world. I don’t know if you can follow us, but… Oh well, I hope Arceus lets us.”

“Ee!” She didn’t understand, but just responded with a happy squeak.

I returned her to the Pokeball, and gave one last look at the other two before I sent the call out to Sano to bring us back. Just as I expected, our departure was interrupted, placing us in the same void-floating island that we first arrived in. And the owner of the space was present.

“Not again,” Uzume whimpered, huddling close to me.

“Greetings, Arceus,” I spoke to the almighty llama staring down at us, holding up the Pokeball, “We were given this Eevee to take care of by the inhabitants we met. With your permission, we will look after her in our world.”

Arceus didn’t respond, but just continued to stare.

Does it want something else from us? I blinked a few times, but the moment just continued to drag on. It’s not pulling the ball away from me, so clearly it doesn’t object to Eevee staying with us.

“If anything happens to us,” Uzume spoke up, “We’ll make sure Sano sends her back to this world.”

On my other side, Matsu nodded. “Yeah. We’ll also bring her back to visit once in a while,” She added.

That appeared to do the trick, because the next moment we were back in Sano’s office. I was still in the same hand held out pose, but facing the human god instead, who was wearing an amused expression.

“I do hope you’re not trying to trade me a Pokemon instead of the skills you collected,” He said.

I hastily put the Pokeball away. “No, of course not.”

“Good. Welcome back.” He eyed the three of us. “What happened to ‘not intending to get one’?”

I exchanged looks with my Sekireis, before looking back at Sano. “Things didn’t go as planned.”

“They rarely do,” was his reply.

“Welcome to Sano’s Skill Services!” I recited again, “How may I serve you today?”

The goddess sniffed as she looked at me. “Ugh. Why do I have to do this?” She complained.

Another bitchy one. I groaned in my head even as I let the job persona take over. I wonder if Sano is finding these customers just to mess with me.

The goddess eventually touched the pad, filling me in on her world’s situation. It was another typical ‘hero summoned to save the world’, with the threat coming in the form of a Demon King. The hero would get inserted into that world in a summoning ritual, travel around the place to grow in strength until he became strong enough to confront the final boss and slay him. There were some worrisome factors to consider, like the recurrence of this event, and the fact that a goddess was choosing to buy skills instead of granting her own, but I couldn’t really interfere.

The chances of it happening were low, but I hoped that the skills I sold her for the hero would end up invoking karma on this goddess. After all, they might be included into her world’s system, but they were foreign elements to begin with, so there was the potential for the board to be flipped.

“Give me a discount, since I’m a goddess.”

“My employer sets all prices, and I cannot make any changes.”

She blustered a bit more, but Sano’s power held the advantage here, so she eventually paid up.

As she departed, the pissy goddess left a parting shot.

“Tsk, the gall of a doll like you.”

Hah. I mentally scoffed. I’m fine with being a doll for my work shift in exchange for the perks I’m getting.

Once the work day was over, I closed up the shop front and headed back to my room. Or rather, the large apartment that had replaced it. The door in the corridor that used to lead to it now opened to a large modern living room, courtesy of Sano’s modifications and paid for using some of the DP earned from selling the Pokemon skills. It was a rather sudden change, but since my original room was still accessible through this shared space, I didn’t have any complaints. It wasn’t that expensive either, so we still had a surplus of DP for any skills we might want to purchase in future.

We did need the extra space for our newest addition, who had noticed my return and came to greet me.

“Hey girl, I’m back!” I held my hands out.

“Vee!” The Eevee jumped up and I caught her in a hug. “Ee! Eevee!”

After some discussion with Sano, he gave his permission for Eevee to stay with us. While she had a relaxed nature, it didn’t mean she was lazy, so a large space was required for her to work off the excess energy. Technically my training room would have been enough, but after the three of us talked about it, we agreed to go for the premium upgrade instead.

Now while Matsu and I were busy at work, Uzume could engage Eevee in play, practicing some of her known moves and training her to behave properly. After the two of us were done, it was our turn to interact with Eevee. Thanks to that, she had no problems getting along with each of us, and always greeted us in a friendly manner.

I bore her licking my face with good nature, combing my fingers through her thick mane. “What did you do today?”

She continued to make several noises as if to answer my question, though there was a groan from the couch that drew my attention. Letting the door swing shut behind me, I headed over to the source of the sound.

“You okay, Matsu?”

“Just a slight headache,” The redhead confessed, her glasses in one hand while the other arm covered her eyes. “Restructuring some of the skills was harder than I expected. I was working on it the whole day.”

“Vee~” Eevee crooned comfortingly, twisting to look up at me with concern.

“Alright, I’ve got it.”

I reached out and laid a glowing hand on Matsu’s forehead, eliciting a moan of relief from her mouth.

“Where’s Uzume?” I asked, but received no answer, so I turned to the animal in my arms. “Could you find Uzume? Find Uzume, Eevee!”

“Vee!”

I lowered her to the ground and watched her scamper away, before feeling my hand being moved away. Matsu put her glasses back on and looked at me with a grateful smile.

“I’m okay now, Rick-tan. Thanks.”

“Don’t push yourself too hard,” I told her.

“Give me a lap pillow~” She begged cutely.

I obliged her, sliding my legs underneath Matsu’s lifted head before letting her settle back down. As I stroked her hair absently, I took the chance to admire the new room yet again.

It reminded me quite a bit of those typical modern Japanese living rooms I saw in animes; the L-shaped couch we were on was facing a large TV, behind us was a dining table where we could eat together more comfortably, and off to the side was the kitchen area, with a low wall partitioning it off from the rest of the place. There were two sets of windows; the one next to the couch took up nearly the whole height, while the one near the dining table was more commonly sized, though both couldn’t be opened. They had the same multidimensional viewing function the one in my room had, and I had seen Uzume entertain Eevee by showing her some views of other worlds.

“I’m coming, I’m coming…” I heard Uzume’s voice from behind, and looked over my shoulder to see her emerge from our bedroom door, “Welcome back, Rick-kun, Matsu-chan! Are you two hungry?”

“Starving,” Matsu answered before I did.

“Vee!” Eevee agreed from between the brunette’s legs.

“Need any help?” I called out the question.

“Nope!” Uzume’s amused reply came as usual.

I closed my eyes and counted. Three, two, one.

“The food’s done!”

I swallowed the saliva that came from smelling the great food, and Matsu barely needed any coaxing to get up and move to the dining table. This was one of the many things I looked forward to after a day’s work, and tonight’s one looked so nice that I couldn’t help snapping a picture to upload on social media later. My dad would probably send a message to me afterwards, as usual. For now, we dug into our food with gusto.

“Vee! Vee! Ee-” Eevee’s cries devolved to hungry devouring noises.

“Slow down, or you’ll choke,” Uzume chided the Pokemon, who only slowed momentarily.

I paused in my eating. “I don’t blame her. You really outdid yourself with this one.” Even more LP~

“Thanks. It’s partially due to having access to so many varieties of ingredients though.” She demurred, though the blush on her face revealed her true reaction.

“It’s not too hard on you, is it?” Matsu inquired, her tone showing concern.

“Nope,” Uzume answered brightly, “I’ve got lots of time to do my own stuff. Training Eevee, making costumes, watching shows. Perfecting a dish or two a day is an easy job!”

The third development from our visit to the Pokemon world was that we managed to get Sano to hire Uzume as an assistant to Matsu and I, using her help in obtaining skills from the Department Store as a basis. It wasn’t the full-time position like the two of us had, but it was enough to grant her Sano’s protection while within the shop, which was a load off our minds.

Her job responsibility was something along the lines of a skill tester and developer, which mostly involved helping Matsu test her creations. Another part was to help build up some of the other skills with manual experience, such as her [Chef] one, which was why Uzume had been busy experimenting with different dishes recently. She was making good use of the variety of ingredients Sano’s connections gave her access to. The experience would then be handed off to Matsu, who would integrate it with the other versions of [Chef] that Sano had; some would have the dish recipes straight-up available, while others might have them level-locked, depending on which world the skill was meant for.

With her looks, cheerful personality, costume making skills, and now cooking ability, I’d have been insecure about our relationship if not for the Sekirei-Ashikabi bond letting me know how strongly she felt about being together with me. The same went for Matsu, but the redhead was more forward about wanting to express physical affection.

Seems like noodles are her specialty. An influence from her cloth manipulation powers? I slurped up the long strands, enjoying the feeling of their texture as I bit into them. Maybe we should visit the Shokugeki world in the future, or the Toriko one…

We passed the time talking about our individual days, before settling in front of the TV to watch shows together. Eevee chose to lie in my lap, watching the screen with some interest, but ultimately wriggling around until she was lying on her back between my thighs, dozing contentedly as we stroked her belly fur.

Speaking of Eevee, she had acclimated well to being in this new world, even if we couldn’t take her outside due to Sano's rules against drawing attention. She didn’t appear to mind, though it might change as she grew older. One of the notable things about Eevee was that she was pretty smart despite her young age, which made training her very easy. Though I’m sure the few training-related skills I spent some of our DP on helped as well. I considered loading her up with growth skills, but decided to hold off until her capacity for them grew a bit, based on Sano’s advice.

In terms of the usual looking after, feeding, grooming, cleaning up after her, and so on, she bore it all with minimal or no resistance. We discussed giving her a name, but Eevee decided that she would just prefer to be called Eevee for the time being, until she evolved.

Regarding the issue of her future evolution, I showed her the images of the various forms that were available and read out the biological description of each. While Eevee didn’t feel like deciding just yet, and I wasn’t going to push her, I could tell she was leaning towards one of two decisions that matched her personality. When I told Uzume and Matsu, we agreed to wait until she approached us for it. I did also suggest following the example of Red’s Eevee from the Pokemon Adventures manga, where it could evolve into whichever form it needed, and devolve back to Eevee afterwards, but she rejected that option.

Then again, I don’t think I can make a skill like that without a lot of work and LP. Team Rocket in that series only achieved it after a lot of harsh experiments that allowed them to get the necessary data… Huh, maybe I could try visiting that world next.

“Thinking about which world to visit next?” Matsu asked me without turning her head.

“Am I that obvious?”

“Yes, you are,” Both of them replied at the same time.

“Vee…” Eevee mewed sleepily, though whether it was in agreement or protesting the noise, I couldn’t tell.

Things had changed quite a lot compared to when I first began working in Sano’s shop. For one, I now had skills of my own, and they were pretty fun to play with, even if most of them were meant for combat. Another difference was that I now had colleagues, and ones that I was very close to and wished to have accompanying me for a long time.

So what now? I didn’t mind continuing on this path, just visiting other worlds, gathering skills and having small adventures, only to return to this world as a place I could call home.

<Then that’s fine, isn’t it?>

I blinked, and turned to look at Matsu, who was watching my face instead of the TV this time.

<Sorry, I couldn’t help but peek into your head because you were making such a strange face.>

<If there’s anything that’s bothering you, can’t you just share it with us? We’re your Sekirei, remember?> Uzume added, having also been included in this mental conversation.

I leaned back into the couch a bit more, no longer focusing on the TV screen. <Yeah, I’m just wondering if it’s okay to continue on as we are.>

<Why wouldn’t it be?> Matsu reached out a hand to take over belly rubbing duties for Eevee. <It’s not like we have anything hanging over us here, not like MBI with their Sekirei Plan.>

<Speaking of the Sekirei Plan…> Uzume interrupted, causing the two of us to focus on her.

As it turned out, even though we were in another world, the thought of the Sekirei Plan going on still bothered her. We had removed one of the Jinkis that Minaka needed for it off the board entirely, but knowing that guy, he was still going to try and go through with it anyway. Another part of it was her empathy for her fellow Sekireis; I might not have been their official Ashikabi that they would have had in canon, but they didn’t like the idea of the South and East guys just winging whichever Sekirei fell into their hands, using them and throwing them away.

The way Uzume saw it, if she could do something about it, then she wanted to do so. That was the reason she helped Matsu with her theft of the Jinki in the first place.

She played with her hair awkwardly when we stared at her. “I guess reading about Musubi and Yume must have influenced me a bit… But we don’t have to go right away, since Sano can alter the time we return, right?”

Seeing her backpedal like that made me smile, and bring my arm around her shoulders to pull her closer to me. “Our bond goes both ways, Uzume… if you want to help me with what I want to do, then I’ll do the same for you.”

“Rick-kun…”

“Can’t forget the bonus,” Matsu added.

“Bonus?”

“MBI’s data on Sekirei-human sexual relations,” The light glinted off her spectacles as she adjusted them with a lewd grin, “Remember?”

Her hand moved further down Eevee’s body, stroking the bushy tail… and putting a bit of pressure on my crotch beneath it.

“Don’t spoil the moment,” Uzume scolded her.

“Sorry, sorry,” Her tone indicated otherwise, but Matsu suddenly grew serious. “Then again, it involves stealing from MBI…”

“Those three, you mean?”

“We would have to face the Disciplinary Squad, in that case… The Third Generation ones…” Matsu shivered slightly.

“If you’re not confident of our chances, then we can just focus on building up our skills first. How about that?” I suggested.

She nodded. “I guess that’s the best choice.”

<Hmm, so that’s the sort of thing you’re aiming for next then?>

“Yep. Sorry it took me so long to return, but I think the god in charge just decided to send me back a few months after the last visit,” I apologized for the umpteenth time.

<Oh no, no, no, it’s not like I was lonely or anything~> Olivia’s mental voice took on a teasing tone.

“Anyway, I’ve brought something to repay you for all the help you’ve given so far.”

<What is it? Is it in your [Inventory]?>

“That’s right.”

I took out the music player, and began showing her how it worked. It was pretty interesting to see how she reacted to a modern device capable of playing music without any magic involved in its crafting, though she got over her fascination quickly.

“I know you’re probably wondering how you’re going to control this, since it comes with manual buttons and you’re chained up-”

<Thank you for the obvious observation.>

“But I’ve got a way to overcome that obstacle.” I touched my chest and pulled out two skills. “Here.”

I placed one of them into the music player, granting it a longer working lifespan, while placing the other into Olivia. There was a bit of resistance at first, but she accepted it and let me push the glowing box into her body.

<Kyaaah~ You touched my chest! Pervert!> She deadpanned.

“Yes, yes. You should be able to link with the player now. Give it a try.”

<I seem to see the same buttons it has in my mind. So I just press ‘Play’?>

The player instantly began playing one of the many songs I loaded into it, filling the room with pleasant music. I waited patiently as Olivia began experimenting with the controls, skipping forward, rewinding, adjusting the volume and other stuff. Then she paused it, and didn’t do anything for several minutes.

“Olivia?” I finally asked.

<Thank you, Rick.> There was another moment of silence, before she continued, <You didn’t have to come back to give this to me, but you did.>

I smiled. “You’ll be free one day, I’m sure of it.”

<Could you go and let me enjoy this music by myself for a bit?> Olivia requested.

“Sure. I’ll try to come by again sometime.” I prepared to leave, to oblige her request.

<Oh, one more thing before you leave.>

She had me do a minor action, and when I left the dungeon, it was with the fully unlocked version of [Creation].

I’m still going to need the LP to make good use of it, but for now, let’s go back and see what Sano has to say about it! I activated the recall once I was outside of the cave.

“Welcome back, Rick-tan!” Matsu greeted me. “Ready for the next stop?”

“Yup. Are you two?”

Uzume nodded with a smile. “We’re ready. Let’s go see another world with people hoping for wings.”

I turned to the corner of the room, where Eevee was sitting in her pet bed looking up at the three of us. “Alright, we’ll be gone for a while, so behave for Sano, okay?”

“Vee!” She chirped with a nod, having learned the gesture already, “Eevee!”

“It is part of my agreement with Arceus,” The god said from his position at his desk behind me, “Try not to abuse it too much. Now, are you ready to go?”

The two Sekireis reached out and grabbed onto my arms, nodding at Sano, who waved his hand-

And once again, we were in another version of Tokyo, in an alleyway out of sight of cameras.

“Come on, let’s go see what the public area is like!” Uzume tugged onto my hand, pulling me along with her.

“Matsu, watch your step, okay?”

“Yes, yes…” She answered distractedly.

Compared to the cleaner version of the one controlled by MBI, this one was simultaneously both grungier and colorful in comparison. It was the result of a certain technology that had become widespread, influencing a cultural change that reached out to people of all ages. Said technology in use left many marks on the various surfaces around us, all revealed to me through the use of [Appraisal].

Scratches. Scratches left by small motor-powered wheels, smooth surfaces that came from being grinded on by skates, indentations left by impacts of landing and powerful jumps.

“Watch out!”

I backstepped together with Uzume as a couple went by on inline skates, though they only had two wheels instead of the four I was used to. They weren’t the only ones; there were others going around on the roads, with signs indicating reserved paths for those using this novel mode of transport. Advertisements playing on video screens also featured other people riding these special skates, promoting them to interested buyers with the money to afford them.

I had to admit, I was a bit nervous about trying out this new experience, but at the same time, I was really looking forward to it.

“Let’s go get our Air Treks, shall we?”

Afterword: Yeah, my muse was having a bit of trouble following up with this story. What was the overall point of it, what I wanted to see happen, and other stuff. For a while there I just couldn’t really come up with anything, but after I focused on just writing what appealed to me, it began to flow once more. Perhaps in the future I might throw in some setbacks, like maybe something happening to Sano so Rick and the others have to handle running the shop for a bit, but that might be quite far off.

For now, we have a new world to explore! After all the magic and super power stuff, I was thinking it’s about time we had a technological one. I am considering Cyberpunk as an option in the future, but that’s a rather high level of danger, so for now, let’s go with Air Gear!

Comments

I was thinking of the ones where they're in magical worlds with all types of skills they can learn and magic monsters whose abilities could be analyzed if he ever got one of those copy paste skills to use there.

Kasikan

Usually because those magical uplift isekais have only one big skill that belongs to the protagonist, and it costs Rick money each time he wants to visit a new world. So it's more logical to go for worlds with multiple skills.

Wrathkal

Seeing him give her a music player with the ability to interact with it mentally made me wonder why he didn't just give her a laptop full of games, music, movies, tv shows and books. I mean the impact of music on her was immense, but if she can mentally interact with tech, then a computer full of stuff would be a thousand times better for her. Especially if he could enchant the battery to keep it powered permanently with another enchant on the computer itself to prevent wear and tear or just automatically repair itself. Hopefully he can do something like that for her in the future. It'd be much better for her mental health. Now as for Air Gear and other horrible series to be a part of. Is there a reason he's not popping around some slice of life universes where they have some over powered uplift going on? There's usually all types of cool skills in some of those magical uplift stories in slice of life worlds.
