Chapter 14:
“So, explain it to me,” I said to Matsu as the three of us were walking down the side of the road, “This risky day thing. It’s not just pregnancy you were referring to, right?”
We had just finished checking out of the hotel not too long ago, and were making our way westwards in the direction of Celadon City. After last night’s fun times left us in a sweaty, musky state, it was lucky we had the time to clean ourselves up before that.
“Well,” Matsu began, “You know how we had to be adjusted before we were released out into Shinto Teito?”
I nodded. “Yes, though it should be different for the single numbers and those after them, right?”
“That’s only because Minaka needed the Disciplinary Squad to protect the younger ones, but that’s not what I’m referring to,” She shook her head, “In addition to making sure that we Sekireis didn’t end up hurting our potential Ashikabis because we couldn’t control our strength, the tuning was so that we could handle common everyday things that a civilian might encounter in his daily life.”
I saw what she was getting at. “Ah, like babies getting gut bacteria from their mothers that allow them to digest and absorb food.”
“That’s a good example, though in our case, it was more in-depth and difficult to perform.”
Uzume shivered exaggeratedly. “Brrr! All those needles and lab tests… I’m honestly glad to be away from there.”
“Well, if you didn’t undergo that, we might not even have had an Ashikabi. Back to what I was talking about,” Matsu continued, “You already know that Sekireis can interbreed with humans, since it happened long ago in our universe’s past, but considering the adjustments that we went through while growing up, there might have been potential complications if you had ejaculated inside us last night. Besides pregnancy, I mean.”
“M-Matsu!” Uzume yelped at the bold statement.
She sniggered, casting a sidelong glance at the blushing Sekirei. “Who was the one who was so enthusiastic last night? I- Mmmph!”
“Ahah, ahahahaha…” Uzume let out an embarrassed laugh as she acted like she hadn’t gagged Matsu with a length of cloth around her face.
“Alright, chill out, girls,” I waved my hands to calm them down. “So would it be okay as long as I got condoms or something?”
Matsu drew in a breath of air after her gag was removed, “Actually, I think that would work just fine.”
Fuck. I really wish I had prepared some before coming to this world, if I’d known. Not showing my regret on my face, I continued with another question, “What about if I had a skill, something like [Fertility Control]?”
She frowned. “Now that’s harder to say. We still don’t know how some skills might work with our biology. I do know some, but compared to the tuners who worked on us…”
“MBI has the data,” Uzume spoke up, “Since they worked on us Sekireis. What if you had access to those?”
The redhead crossed her arms, pushing her breasts up and making me gulp as the memory of what she did with them came to mind. “Those might help, yes.”
“Hold on, are you sure? You came with me to another world just to get away from MBI, and now you want to go back?” I asked them.
“I don’t know about ‘want’,” Uzume replied, looking up at the sky thoughtfully, “But if it’s something that might affect our relationship… our bond as Sekirei and Ashikabi, then I’d want to solve it.”
“What about you, Matsu?”
“Perhaps if we had more data from other worlds, I might be able to tell for sure,” The bespectacled Sekirei admitted, pushing her index fingers together in an uncertain gesture. “I really want to experience it with Rick-tan, you know.”
“Me too.” Uzume nodded, her face as red as her fellow Sekirei.
Oooh, damn, that’s hot. I’m falling deeper in love with them, when they show me that sort of face.
Then Matsu stumbled as her inattention caused her to step wrongly, though I managed to catch her before she fell onto her face. With the moment broken, we agreed to focus on our current mission, which was arriving at Celadon City without any problems following us.
As much as I wanted to press Matsu for an answer as to when we could finally go all the way, I decided to trust in her to make that decision when the moment came. After all, I could tell that they both felt the same from the bond we shared.
Though I can see myself revisiting the Sekirei world again in the future, if only to conduct another data heist for our own benefit, I thought to myself as we passed through the west checkpoint, I can’t deny that I’m curious about what sort of changes I might have caused by taking these two away from there.
“Is Celadon far?” Uzume asked.
“Actually, it’s pretty close. Route 7 is very short. A straight road, actually,” Matsu answered.
True to her words, the path extended towards a bunch of hills in the distance, right at a gap between two of them. Using a skill to enhance my vision, I could see a few buildings that indicated the location of Celadon City. At the same time, my senses picked up multiple wild Pokemon lurking in the grass on either side of the road, some in packs and some by themselves.
“Shall we take our time? We didn’t really interact with that many Pokemon while we were in the city,” Uzume suggested, “I bought some Pokemon food that we could use to feed them.”
“Sounds like a good idea.” I had seen some people with their Pokemon in Saffron, but I didn’t really interact that much with them.
“Just be careful of the wild Mankeys here, they can be rather temperamental.”
Unlike the original Red & Blue versions with differences in the type of Pokemon that appeared, there was none of that here; we encountered both Vulpix and Growlithe, Oddish and Bellsprout, with no difference in appearance rate.
The behavior of the former pair was just what I expected of wild animals, being very wary of any sudden movements, so even a small attempt to pet them on their heads would cause the quadrupedal Pokemons to shy away. Offering them small snacks with a gentle brush under the chin was accepted, and their fur felt pretty nice to touch. It reminded me of the time I visited the fox village in Japan, and I decided to bring the girls there the next opportunity we had.
The Grass-types were nocturnal, so we simply observed their sleeping forms from a safe distance. The Oddish resembled herbs when they were buried with only their upper leaves showing, while the Bellsprouts were more easily identified as only their feet-like roots were beneath the ground, leaving their yellow heads swaying in the wind.
So far, none of them were hostile enough to attack, though there were a few close calls. We also spotted a stray Abra that was sleeping, but it teleported away to avoid a different Pokemon before we could approach for a closer look. There were a few Mankeys, especially around the area of the hills we spotted when we first set out, but we steered clear of them, using Repels when necessary to fend off those boisterous apes. Thankfully, there were more cute Pokemon than aggressive ones.
While they were wild, some of them appeared to be familiar enough with humans to learn that we were a possible source of food, and were receptive enough that we could train them to behave a little in return for some bites from our stop for lunch.
“They’re cute, aren’t they?” I asked as the last Vulpix snagged the last bits of lunch from my hand and ran off.
“Yeah, they are,” Uzume agreed, “But I don’t see myself living with one. Fire doesn’t exactly work well with cloth.”
“Same. Well, shall we go? It’s only a bit more before we reach Celadon.” Matsu stood up and stretched.
Thankfully, the weather was largely cloudy, enough to block out the worst of the sun but not to promise definite rain. We were now past the hills, and within the forested area of Celadon. Yet the path remained clear, testament to the work that went into maintaining the place. Already within normal human view were the sight of various buildings, most notably a Pokemon Center just to the right after the city’s borders.
Even though we didn’t have any Pokemon, we stopped in there first.
“Welcome to the Celadon Pokemon Center!” The Nurse Joy greeted us, “How may I help you today? Will you need your Pokemon healed?”
“Chansey!” The pink blob Pokemon next to her echoed, waving its flipper-like hand.
Damn, that’s cute, I thought, even though I had seen the same type of Pokemon in Saffron’s PokeCenter. “No, it’s okay. We just need some directions.”
“Oh, you’re tourists then. Hope you enjoy your time in Celadon! Of course I’m here to help.” Joy smiled brightly, “Ask me anything.”
“Alright, first…”
First we received a list of places that were recommended for tourists to visit, whether they were Pokemon Trainers, or just normal people who wanted to sightsee. True to its title as the City of Rainbow Dreams, there was no end of stuff to see and do. A large number of the places listed were shops, clearly showing how much the city’s economy depended on the service industry, and at the top of the list was the Department Store, which occupied the biggest building in the city. Entertainment and retail options certainly weren’t lacking while we were here.
There were also a bunch of places like gardens and other scenic spots that were great for picture taking. The hotel where we intended to stay was one of them, but apparently the block of apartments just next door was a popular photo subject too. The Celadon Gym itself didn’t even need mentioning, but it was more than just serving as a place for Trainers hoping to earn a badge and the audiences interested in Pokemon battling. The people working there also dabbled in perfume making and flower arrangement, and there were day courses offered to people who were interested in trying out those. It was part of their way of getting foreigners interested in the city’s traditional culture.
“With your female friends, I’d recommend these places,” Joy pointed at a few listings, “Beauties like them deserved to be pampered, wouldn’t you say?”
I glanced at the two, who were making pleased expressions. “Yeah, I agree.”
“Maybe we should check in at the hotel first?” Uzume suggested, though I could tell she was interested in the suggestion.
“Good idea,” Matsu added, “We did walk all the way from Saffron, so I want to wash myself up before doing anything else.”
“That makes three of us then.”
“Feel free to come back if you have any more questions!” Nurse Joy saw us off.
“Chan!” With the Chansey adding her own farewell.
The Celadon Hotel’s prices were much more affordable compared to Saffron’s, and unlike the game, there were still rooms available, so the staff accepted our booking and were allowed to check in right away. That wasn’t the only difference; the entire place, including our room, had a warmer and more welcoming atmosphere, assisted by the scented oil diffuser that was on the center table. There was even a note on the beds explaining how the herb bundle placed beneath the bed covers would help provide a restful sleep, with the recommendation to remove it before actually getting under there.
Even the bathroom was similarly nice, and the tag on the shampoo and body wash bottles indicated that they were made with natural scents from Celadon City.
“You two go wash up first, I can wait until later,” I told the girls, “I’ll be contacting Sano first to let him know how things are going.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to join us?” Matsu invited playfully.
“Don’t tempt me,” I warned her instead.
I waited until the bathroom door was closed behind them before reaching out to Sano. There was a brief moment of being put on hold for a moment before I found myself in the usual featureless space. Sano was there, of course, but he was looking off to the side as though looking and listening to someone else.
“Understood,” The god said, before turning to me. “Good job on the delivery. This isn’t a call for a recall, is it?”
That rhymed. “No, just checking in to let you know our progress.”
He hummed. “I see. Well, don’t do it too often. The god here doesn’t exactly like having the dimensional barrier breached too much.”
So it really was Arceus putting me on hold before letting my call get through. “Got it. Anyway, here’s what we’ve got so far, and what else we intend to get.”
I made use of one of Matsu’s modifications to extract a data log from the analysis skill I carried within me, and sent it over to Sano for him to peruse. This way definitely saved a lot of trouble; since our current mode of communication was akin to a long-distance call, it wasn’t possible to extract the whole skill and send it over for him to observe, but a smaller data packet worked just fine.
A smile spread on his face as he read through the file. “Well now, this looks very promising indeed. I’m getting quite a few good ideas already.”
Nice. That means the skills we’re bringing will be worth quite a bit. “No objections to the remainder of what we plan to do?”
“No, you’re doing fine. I do hope you don’t plan to use any of your experiences against my shop?” He asked pointedly.
I shook my head frantically. “Hell no! I’m not gonna do something that crazy!”
“Good.”
Stealing data from a tech company was one thing, trying to do the same to a divinely-protected shop that I owed so much of my current situation to was just asking for trouble. I didn’t want to get smited and lose everything I worked for up till now.
“Any further questions before I disconnect?”
“Oh yeah, about the rules for pets…” I asked, just in case.
The god looked at me flatly. “No large-sized ones, and not more than one per person. Also, theywon’t be under my protection should they stray outside of your living space. Leave any other questions regarding this for later.”
I nodded. “Right. I don’t really intend to get one, but I’m just checking.”
He raised one eyebrow, a clear sign of doubt, but didn’t say anything else.
“That’s all from me. The next time I call, it’ll be for a pickup for us.”
“Good. I look forward to seeing what you bring back.”
The surroundings of the hotel room shifted back into reality around me, making me realize just how muted the rest of my senses had been while I was in that communication space. Sensing some attention on me, I placed my palms together in a praying gesture.
“Thanks for letting the call go through, Arceus.”
There wasn’t any direct response, but the feeling of being observed went away.
…Somehow, I don’t think I’ll be in the mood to do the deed with Matsu and Uzume while I’m in this world.
When the girls came out after freshening up, I let them know how the report to Sano went, and quickly entered the bathroom to do the same. While there was only one hair dryer provided in the room, borrowing another one for the staff was a simple thing, so we were able to set out once more after both their hairs were dry. We explored the nearby area for a bit, following the recommendation list we received.
Matsu suddenly grabbed onto my arm. “Rick-tan, let’s go look over there!” She said in an oddly cheery voice.
I was a bit taken aback, but went along with her pulling. We ended up right outside an electronics shop with several TV screens, and one of them happened to be a news report.
Ah, of course. I realized just what she wanted to show us.
Our theft of Silph Co.’s property had been discovered, and the police investigation was currently underway. According to the reporter, the company was still trying to tally up the total amount of stolen data and research equipment. In the meantime, the police had Psychic Pokemon assisting their investigators trying to find clues, and there was a reward being offered for any information. The reaction of the crowd around us was one of polite disinterest, since it was another city’s issue.
I felt Matsu initiate the mind link with me and Uzume.
<What are the chances of them picking up our trail?> I asked before she could say anything.
<Small, but not zero. I did lay a few false data trails, but I don’t know how it might work against the psychic powers here.>
<Should we accelerate our plans then?> Uzume asked, her hand taking hold of mine and squeezing it slightly.
<It might be a good idea to do so, yes,> Matsu admitted.
<Alright then. As much as I’d like to enjoy this place a bit more…> I looked at them, their expectant gazes directed back at me. “Shall we go then?”
It almost felt like there was an unseen timer ticking down as we continued to explore the city, though we did our best to hide our nervousness. I ended up splurging a bit for both girls to go for a beauty treatment at a salon, while I headed over to the Game Corner to check out the place.
Another thing that I’m too early in the timeline for? I wondered to myself as I looked over the entrance.
The sign on the front read ‘Rocket Game Corner’ instead of Celadon Game Corner, indicating its early version in this pre-canon timeline. Team Rocket was still relatively unknown, but it appeared that their members were hard at work setting up the hideout underneath the place, according to what [Appraisal] was telling me.
It seemed like they had several Pokemon using Dig and other Ground-type moves to excavate out space underground. Any resultant tremors were being suppressed by a separate group, which explained how the whole place could be constructed without anyone being the wiser. While it didn’t have the tech and other stuff available for acquisition like Silph Co., the place was still a valuable target for possible Pokemon moves to grab. I took note of the place and moved on.
There were several minor incidents I encountered along the way, mainly from me ‘accidentally’ stumbling into a Pokemon’s attack and getting fussed over by concerned people nearby, or if the Pokemon was owned, by the worried trainers. I usually ended up reassuring them that I was fine, citing my extra strong body that allowed me to endure and overcome any negative statuses I might have suffered.
Obviously, it was all to trigger the Learning ability.
Realistically, I shouldn’t be able to put out a Stun Spore or a Thunder Wave due to biological constraints, but I supposed Blue Magic just compensated for that somehow.
One of those incidents resulted in a rather fortunate meeting with a sloppily-dressed man with a messy hairstyle.
“I’m impressed, to think you could move so well even after getting hit by my Jolteon’s Thunder Wave,” The man told me, after treating my mild paralysis status with a Paralyze Heal. “I almost took you for a Fighting-type trainer with that sort of body.”
“Jo!” The spiky-furred Pokemon agreed.
“Haha,” I chuckled, “That’s a nice compliment to get. Anyway, I must say, your Jolteon is pretty strong. Are you an Electric-type trainer?”
“Not at all,” He shook his head, “He’s my only Pokemon, raised and evolved from an Eevee.”
“Oh, that sounds like a story I’d be interested in hearing more about.”
My luck had come through; the guy, who introduced himself as Gain Frick was part of a circle of local Pokemon trainers and breeders who had one thing in common, training a member of the Eevee line. They met up occasionally just to show off their fellow Eeveelutions to each other, trading tips on breeding and care. From the way Gain described the group, they were very open and welcoming to other people, so newcomers were able to pick up and learn what they knew if they were earnest about doing so.
“We do have a meeting later today, actually,” Gain mentioned, “If you like, how about coming along?”
I still had some time before the girls were done, so I agreed to his friendly invitation. We began walking in the direction of the Department Store, since the meeting spot was located in its vicinity.
“So what made you pick a Jolteon over the other evolution forms?” I inquired.
“I usually tend to get very distracted, and back when he was an Eevee, I wasn’t really good at taking care of him,” He admitted, “But I didn’t want to give him up, so someone else in the group recommended that I evolve him into a Jolteon, since they require more attention.”
“Isn’t that more stressful?”
“At first, but I got used to it. I still tend to forget to take care of myself sometimes, but he helps to remind me.”
“Teon,” The Jolteon echoed, giving his owner’s disheveled appearance an unimpressed shake of his head.
As if to illustrate his words, the Pokemon shifted around, nudging Gain’s legs to redirect his path out of a coming pedestrian he apparently didn’t notice.
“Ah, there we are now,” He said as though he hadn’t avoided a collision. “Come on in.”
Oh, my, god. That’s so cute. I couldn’t help clutching my chest as I saw the collection of Eevees and their evolved forms there. Eevees romping around, Flareons with fluffy fur, those Vaporeons with their shiny skin and fins, and even more spikey Jolteons. None of the others yet though. I wonder why.
The members of the group were varied in appearance; I saw a few young kids engaging in light play with their Eevees, or being watched over by the evolved forms that probably belonged to their parents. Some were obvious Pokemon Trainers with their Pokeballs on their waist, though only Eeveelutions were presently out, while others just looked like normal people from various walks of life, from housewives to businessmen. I recalled a tidbit of info stating that Eevees could gradually grow to resemble the features of the person who owned it, and looking at some of those around me, I realized that it was true.
I wasn’t the only newcomer, judging by some of the fascinated expressions I saw on those who tried to interact with as many of the Pokemon present, and I could see myself in their position if not for my companion.
“Here, let me introduce you to some of the people here,” Gain led me towards a group of adults.
One of them perked up on noticing his approach. “Oh, Gain, nice to see you joining us. Your Jolteon reminded you?” The well-dressed man in a suit greeted him.
“Yes. Gave me a little zap too.” Gain ran a hand through his hair, which crackled with leftover electricity.
“And who’s this new face?” The man turned to me. “Hello to you, are you an Eevee trainer too?”
“Unfortunately not, I was just curious to see what the group Gain told me about was like. I’m Rick, nice to meet you.”
“We won’t turn you away for not having one,” He reassured me, “My name’s Steve, and I’m just another member here.”
“Which one’s yours, by the way?” I inquired.
Steve let out a small whistle. “Here, girl!”
A Vaporeon responded immediately, leaping over a pair of nuzzling Flareons in a glittering arc and clambering up to perch on Steve’s shoulder. The female Eeveelution eyed me curiously, letting out a squeaky cry. Up close, I could see her silky skin shine prettily under the ceiling lights, with parts of it looking translucent occasionally as her body shifted towards its watery form even though she stayed still. Despite that, Steve’s clothes didn’t get wet beneath her body.
“Vapor here has been with me for quite a while. Isn’t she a beauty?” He raised one hand to stroke along her side, to which she purred at.
“She is,” I agreed. “So, I’ve got a few questions about Eevees and their evolutions…”
Just as Gain said, they were very welcoming and provided all sorts of tips for people interested in training an Eevee; grooming, feeding, medical checkups and multiple other things involved, there was always someone who knew the answer to a question I have. The rules of the gathering were meant to foster friendly interaction, so as long as polite behavior was observed, anyone was welcome. No battles were permitted, though discussion of tactics and moves were allowed. Some people were also trading evolution stones, though those were carefully stored in boxes to be used away from the group to prevent unwanted evolutions from occurring. After I had satisfied my curiosity, I went around to interact with some of the Pokemon.
The large number of Eevees present were due to the breeder members, who had brought their herds along for this gathering, with the evolved forms overseeing the various interactions and preventing anything from going too far. Occasionally, I noticed some of the other newcomers approach them to discuss purchasing an Eevee, having been hooked in by the overwhelming cuteness.
“By the way, are there only three forms?” I asked a nearby scientist, identifiable by his lab coat.
“That we know of,” He answered, stroking a lazy Eevee in his arms, “Those forms were caused by exposure to evolution stones, but there might be other triggers that we still haven’t discovered yet. Would you like to pet my Eve?” He asked.
As I did so, I sensed Arceus’s presence again, but compared to the previous focused form, this one appeared to be widespread, and it didn’t seem like anyone else noticed. With cautious use of [Appraisal], I was able to realize another consequence of my entry into this world.
So the skills I delivered are starting to have an effect on the world already… new Eeveelution forms are being unlocked. I stroked the Eevee’s head while using my phone to record a video, but she wriggled away after a while, tucking her head into the scientist’s arm.
“Sorry about that, she can be standoffish sometimes,” He apologized.
“It’s fine, I understand what it’s like to have a social battery. You must have a great bond with her.”
“Yes, she’s my closest friend,” The scientist admitted forthrightly.
“Hear that, Eve?” I spoke to the Eevee, who turned to look at me, then up at her owner. “You’re his friend-”
As if on cue, the Pokemon suddenly started to glow, causing people nearby to take notice.
“Hey! You know we’re not supposed to evolve them in the middle of the group!” Someone called out.
“I didn’t do anything! I’m not carrying any stones on me!” The scientist cried back, not daring to move despite the currently evolving Pokemon in his arms.
Fortunately, it was over quickly, and the newly revealed Espeon looked around, the center of attention. Her forked tail twitched, and she nuzzled against her shocked trainer’s neck.
“Es~”
Chaos ensued as everyone scrambled to get a closer look at the newly revealed Eeveelution form. It took Steve and a few of the other senior members to restore order, and an impromptu examination was held to try to understand the cause and effect. Eve did her best to endure it for her owner’s sake, but eventually fled into the confines of his shirt to avoid the attention. Luckily, we had established several facts and theories by then, especially since I had a video of the whole evolution. While no one asked about the model of my handphone, it was convenient that I could [Edit] it to communicate with their own devices to send over the video to anyone who asked.
“So an Eevee can evolve by the strength of their bond… That definitely needs more research!” A breeder said enthusiastically after she finished viewing the video. “Say, you don’t have an Eevee, do you?”
“No. I’m actually here on vacation.”
“What’s your daily schedule like?” She followed up quickly with another question.
“I work in a retail shop, about nine to five every weekday. So I can’t really-”
“Perfect!” She interrupted without letting me finish, “I have this young one that doesn’t like to battle, and she’s very well-behaved too!”
“Wait, hold on-” I began.
“Here’s her Pokeball, and a simple manual I wrote on how to take care of an Eevee!” She thrust the items into my hands, and began walking off. “I gotta go now. Hope to see you again soon!”
I blinked several times. Did I just get a pet dumped on me? What? What the heck?
Once I found a moment of quiet, I released the Eevee and checked its status with [Appraisal]. It was pretty young, only knowing the moves Tackle, Growl, and Tail Whip. Contrary to my worries, its nature was just as the breeder had said, a relaxed one that was very receptive to going along with me. That’s how I met up with the girls later with an Eevee riding on top of my head.
“Rick-tan, you have an Eevee on your head,” Matsu pointed out.
“I know. I’m still wondering why myself. Say hi, Eevee.”
“Vee.” The Eevee responded lazily.
“It’s so cute!” Uzume gushed, reaching out for the Pokemon.
I obligingly lowered my head so she could do so, letting her relieve me of its weight. It didn’t resist her handling, but just settled against my Sekirei’s bosom.
“I must say, you two are looking much more beautiful after that salon session.”
I wasn’t lying; their skin and hair were looking much more lustrous than I recalled, and a few of those people passing by were staring at their beauty, even more so compared to the time in Saffron.
“Thank you for saying so, Rick-tan, but that doesn’t explain the new Pokemon,” Matsu pointed at the Eevee.
“Let’s go back to our room first, then I’ll share the story.”
The hotel had a rule against released Pokemon in the rooms, but there was a dining area where people could have their Pokemon out to eat together with. After we had a light dinner to fill our stomachs, we returned to our room where I filled the two Sekireis in on how I had obtained an Eevee without intending to. The Pokemon in question was napping in its ball, having stuffed herself on sour-flavored food during dinner, true to its Relaxed nature.
“I can take care of her,” Uzume volunteered, already reading through the manual, “With how relaxed she is, it shouldn’t be much trouble.”
“Are you already thinking of evolving her?” Matsu asked me.
I nodded. “Yeah, but right now, I think we have something more important to focus on.”
Uzume closed her book and set it aside. “Are we doing it now?”
The redhead shook her head. “Of course not, Uzume-tan, we haven’t properly scouted out the places yet.”
“Sorry,” Uzume apologized, “But do we have enough time?”
“We should,” Matsu said, though her tone indicated that she wasn’t fully confident.
“We’ll do what we can,” I assured them, “For now, let’s go over the plan once again.”
Afterword: Well, that feels like a good point to stop. Can’t go to a Pokemon world without grabbing a Pokemon, don’t you agree? I admit, the thing I enjoy the most about fanfiction is the potential to influence changes in canon, so the idea of Rick being the one to cause the development of new evolutions and skills came to mind, and I rolled with it. As for the Pokemon type, I had considered several types, but I just couldn’t drop the idea of an Eevee. Sylveon is a pretty cute Pokemon, wouldn’t you agree? But no, it’s not a Sylveon I have in mind.
This chapter took a while to get out, mainly because I fell sick recently and had to spend my day off from work just resting in bed to recover, and even then I still have an annoying sore throat that makes it hard to feel motivated. Hopefully my muse gets back into action soon.
Comments
Personally, I would give the Eevee a skill that made it like Vee from the pokemon manga.
