I have largely finished the rough modeling for Blossom Amaterasu (save for minor things like a pair of hands but who needs those amiright) and am now entering the process of properly cleaning her sculpt up to begin retopo'ing it. From there, I'll be cutting the model up into parts and creating sections via the model to connect to itself so you can put it together at home, and would allow it to be packaged more safely for the more delicate parts I foresee would be an issue otherwise if shipped as whole.
Some model additions patrons brought up and we collectively discussed in the Discord Server streams:
Applicable Decal Patterns : a discussion opened up for water-soluble decals that could be applied to Amaterasu's Kimono hem to add more flair. After extensive research in the options and additional task this would take to create, I've decided to make these Decal Patterns available for PATRONS ONLY (Any Subs (Twitch, Kofi, Patreon, etc)) who purchase the model (Rough Stage ((fresh off the printer)) or Base Stage ((sanded and base coated for you to just begin painting on)) will be able to choose between a select number of decal patterns to further customize their figures, and as a special thank you for being around during development of this first time :> For subs only, thank you! I will be opening a poll much later to give you options on what decals to choose from when you purchase the figure.
Removable top : Unlike in the thumbnail (the future ad-post for the finished figure), the figure will have her breasts partially covered to obscure nipples. I believe this decision would best compliment the soft and cheeky nature of the figure as a whole without it being overt for social media to kill for its existence.
When to expect the 3d testing phase to begin: I am currently looking in December to be able to begin test printing this model. This is the earliest it appears at this moment in time that I can begin working around this material and testing/finalizing the model and begin coming up with the final pricing for the figures at the 3 different stages. This would allow me from December 2025-March 2026 to finalize, source, and ensure I've covered all my bases to launch the figure. This does NOT mean the figure WON'T be available until March 2026, it COULD be available for pre-order sooner, but I am quoting the LATEST DATE POSSIBLE to keep all expectations realistic and allow me plenty of time to research, and test.
Why Pre-Order Only for the figure : When prices are finalized for the 3 stages of available finish for the figure and I have a fully painted finished piece to showcase (I'll be keeping one for myself you know!!!) , I will be opening for purchase of the figure via Pre-Order Only. What this means:
Bulk material discounts: Once I have a select number of orders made, I can purchase some things with Bulk Discounts. These discounts will be accounted for if able to be met when posting the final price so that these savings are already passed on down to you in the final pricing. The bulk material discounts are based on supplier availability at the moment and current guestimating on how many sales I expect to have in order to meet those bulk material discounts.
I am NOT using a manufacturer or farm; I am running this operation entirely out of my basement, alone. I will need time between orders placed and orders printed to ship off, as well as inspect to my standards (super fuckin high mind you ngl). Utilizing a Pre-Order feature will allow me the time necessary to print off each set, complete it to the ordered Stage (rough, base or finished), inspect, and ship it out to you with an expected delay.
Pre-Order Expectations: As Pre-Orders are known by everyone that it means to expect a wait!) before it arrives. I have considered processes to help organize this expectation such as numbering each order and having a public list of what order number is being worked on, or perhaps grouping the Stages into "Batches" and announcing the process and stage of which Batch is at what at any given time. This will also allow me to CLOSE the Pre-Order sale point if I find that at any point the numbers are TOO much for me to handle and give a decent turnaround. My number one priority during the sale-point of the figure is ensuring that everything I could possibly think of is 110% accounted for and up to my standards (ptsd from my first and only print-sale launch back pre-2020 where i /thought/ i accounted for everything such as shipping costs, and even had a friend at the time double check me, upon which it was all entirely wrong and I ended up in the whole selling limited prints!!! never again please! XD )
Is this is a Material Good, Patreon Discounts do NOT apply at any tier. I hope that with my lessons learned and finer eye for details, that this would make it worth it as well as hopefully a more approachable price point that I can hopefully keep as accessible as possible once configured entirely.
Thank you again for this amazing opportunity. I've seen Her (Amaterasu) in my head for months now, and only with CleoZero's help in learning more about 3d Modeling have I even had the gall to begin to do this and feel like I'm ready for this step. Thank you again for pushing me to do what I know I'm capable of when I envision it.
Thank you for your patience orz
