Additionally, while I'm trying to get the new gamebook set up, I thought I'd revisit something from my childhood with you. Back in the 1980s when the only computer I had was a TI-99/4A by Texas Instruments and there was no getting on what little internet there was with that, I spent a lot of time at the local library. I wound up getting a job as a shelver there during my first two years of college, actually.
Anyway, lot of books came and went and I was feeling nostalgic, and finally I was able to track down this one called Worlds at War - sci-fi set a few centuries in the future. There's a lot of artwork to it - looking at it with adult eyes, it seems like the writing is an excuse for the art. Still, while I'm getting ready for the next book, Worlds At War should hopefully be a good diversion, or possibly a lesson in how childhood me had poor taste.
