2024-08-22 04:23:46 +0000 UTCI can confirm the S-show that is the Tayco street bridge closing. You have six lanes of traffic condensed down to two. From the Racine side you have one of the roundabout exits blocked (possibly to prevent people from using it as a short cut) forcing everybody onto Ahnaip st (Although I think you can still take Keyes st.). At the stoplight at the end of Ahnaip they blocked traffic off from going straight or turning left so your only choice is right. Turning right leads you to a five way intersection where the right lane allows you to turn right onto Tayco / Washington st, go straight on to Sanford, or turn left into either lane of Commercial st. The left lane is for turning left onto 1st st ONLY. However, people are now using the left lane to try and get onto Commercial faster, and causing a lot of near accidents in the process. Drivers turning off of Commercial are also blocking people from turning onto first street. Not to mention traffic on Sanford does not have a green light when the traffic straight across the intersection on Nicolet does. There is no sign saying this, you just have to know from experience that you can go. The Worst part is I have no idea why Tayco is blocked off. I can find out why it was blocked off in May and in Augusts past; but this time google has no answers. It might be the bridge or it might be the new building going up on Main or it might be for laughs.
