I'm with you, after episode 9 this season has a very strange change in pace. But from what I understand they weren't green lit for season 4 & 5 till after season 3 aired. So if you look at episodes 10 - 12 as them scrambling to finish the story cause they weren't sure if it was gonna be the end.

2025-08-07 00:26:20 +0000 UTCSo they don't show anyone picking up Ripley's cloak, but Percy 100% has it at at the table. Not sure if they are just writing it out of the story or what. Maybe it'll show up in season 4? It has the ability to absorb magical damage and use that absorbed power to empower the wearers next attack, of course Percy being the mega nerd figures out how to power his guns with it.

2025-08-07 00:19:29 +0000 UTCI will point out that, as far as Ripley goes, this IS based on a DnD campaign. Even if the DM wanted the villian to last longer, if the players decide to hunt them down and win the fight, they're gone.

She would have made an increadibly delicious main villain for a season. With the knowledge of what they were doing storytelling wise and the stream-knowledge where they are going in seasons 4 and 5, I understand the decision though and cannot think of a "better" way. But that is opinion with hindsight... And yeah, we did not see him grab the cloak... weird...
