Thank you for calling out the double standard! And honestly if you do decide to check out the actual show of my little pony, I'd recommend watching the first season to get an idea of who's who and the basic premise, and then just hammer out the songs from the show from there on out, maybe even read a brief description of what's going on in the episode where the song is playing but other than that, you can absolutely covert it (If you want to, no pressure of course) without devoting a billion years to watching all 8 seasons.

2025-04-25 18:06:39 +0000 UTCI appreciate you calling out the double standard applied to how people (specifically men) view women's media vs men's media. The big difference between the Pokemon and MLP is that MLP is marketed for girls so it's seen as having less inherent value than Pokemon which is marketed for boys. That same double standard is applied to a LOT of women's media from books to movies to shows. Musicals don't fall into this as much, thankfully. I'd love to see you react to the show. Luna and Celestia are canon characters (and fan favorites) and this is a fan interpretation of their canon backstory. The same way the Epic fandom has a TON of talented artists making animatics the MLP fandom had so many talented musicians and singers so a LOT of fan songs and some animations were made for it!
