Added 2019-11-12 19:57:14 +0000 UTCGoo'day my fellow resin monkeys!
I come with a new update for Usagi!
Over the weekend I saw some people on certain Sailor Moon groups on the Book of Faces complain that they wanted the new Sailor Stars Three Lights Songs to be dubbed (I'm a sub person, not a dub person) I remembered that when we got our original Spanish Dub on TV more than 20 years ago, I was surprised that they left the music untouched! I also have all the original Sailor Stars songs, so I played them over the weekend and I forgot that I actually memorized them by heart and while I was jammin' and Karaoke-in' to "Nagareboshi he" I couldn't stop the nostalgia from flooding and started to work on Usagi again!
I retook to continuing from where I left off, which was continuing to work on her legs.
I managed to finally fill those weird leg areas and started to work on bending those wings.

I heat bent those wings as I mentioned before that I would, so now they are kind "cradling her" and the legs now look more "filled"

I originally aligned the wings to cover her shoulders but something just didn't look right when I finished position them

I noticed that the wings would basically cover everything up to her face and you wouldn't be able to see much of her that way, so I decided I would come back to that later.

I had to go back and forth with filling the legs and thighs because she needed a bit more "implants" to make them look fuller.

It took me several rounds of sanding and polishing to smooth out the surface of the legs and the connection, but it finally looks pretty decent.
I also added some more putty on her back when she was originally bent, I though it look weird so I added enough so her back looks more "normal"
I also noticed that her lower abdomen now looks swollen (due to being in fetal position originally) so I'm also gonna sand down that area a bit later on.

This is how the legs turned out

I decided to sculpt those pelvic bones, I'll sand them down just a bit more as for now they seem to protrude just a tad much.

Butt sanded!

After some deliberation, I decided to lower the wings to her upper arm level so when looked at from the side, you can see her entire upper body just like it looks in the original illustration I'm basing this mod on.

At this point, I'm thinking that I need to reposition the wings again for a 3rd time, but I'll sleep on it for now, what do you guys think? Leave them at that level or make them a little bit higher?

The 2 holes you see at the very top of the wings will be filled, so I'll leave these for now.
I will be adding more feathers to the base of the wings so that it won't look weird, but I'm going with baby steps for now.
This is the update for this week, I'll have more updates on the wings next week and hopefully start on the head! That will need some mold making and resin casting xD
But for now, I hope you enjoyed this little update, it has been a royal pain to cut, reposition and putty those legs, but I think they are turning out very nice!

It's amazing how you take these kits and make them your own, I can imagine it takes serious guts and confidence (And of course experience). It's extremely inspiring.
