One extra trick I did with the Amen was something I noticed in a Pete Cannon track from this epic video.

It's hard to be 100% with these things but I'm pretty sure he's using a 1/4D delay with a really short feedback time to make the breaks sound extra busy and alive.

Here are the settings I used in my track. Pulling in the low & high pass filters also helps stop it sounding too cluttered.
