Notice about upcoming Sales Tax on Patreon

In short: Patreon is being required by law to start applying sales tax/VAT/GST to some pledges from patrons in parts of the US and 17 other countries starting July 1st. EU patrons will not be affected, as VAT has already been applied there for several years.
Will I lose money?
Most likely not. I have done all the actions recommended by Patreon and selected a category for every benefit and adjusted their value accordingly, so Patreon's automated systems know what I offer. Now you will not pay commissions where they're not applied.
