As someone who played the game, the show is ‘worse.’ Lol and what I mean by that is that it is so much harder seeing what we did/happened in the game, happen in real life. It just…hits different. And I love it!! They are expanding and changing things that we have always wondered about, or really wish we could have had expanded or gotten more info on. Looking at you Bill and Frank episode (I’m still weeping periodically lol) I love this!!! The acting is just superb!!!! They did it, they actually did it!!! They managed to make it translate. Just. Bravo. Also, THESE infected?! Yeah. We would be FUCKED!!! They’re not slow dead people. They’re a living, naturally occurring organism that just evolved. So these infected are just…SCARY!!!! Zombies? running at you SCREAMING!!!! Then little weird, horrible looking tendrils that violate you??!!! WTF NATURE!!!! She really don’t give a shit, huh? Lol Oh my god!!!! So scary!!

She fell asleep and he went through all of that alone. On the official podcast, the creators mentioned that making the change to him being deaf in the game helped show that during the initial transition, you are still aware and around…just not in control. Him not being able to hear shows he was still inside. Great episode but heartbreaking…especially knowing it was coming from the game. It hurt even more with the live action and great acting.
