Howdy y’all! Merry pretty much already Christmas! (It’s funny, I never get mad when stores wanna put Halloween stuff out in August but the second I see Christmas during October I screech internally. November’s fine though, who cares about Thanksgiving anymore 😂)

Nothing big on the comic home front, I’m SUPER excited for next month’s blog where we do our annual patron Christmas presents (mostly cuz I got some extra goodies planned for them this year)

As for Patreon posts this month, I’m jonzing for another Q&A or something so you guys will have to help me decide it! Another character Q&A (and which characters?)? Should it be NSFW questions? Or maybe a Q&A with me (about making comics, personal life, Hastings’ favorite toys lol)? I also have a ‘Top 10 Behind-the-Scenes Fun Facts about If A Tree Falls’ I could share if that’s more up everyone’s alley. Also a bit of fun personal news, last month I was invited by long time webcomic creator friends McCull and Rowdy (of The Leg Less Traveled and currently Fine By Me) to go to Boston and Salem on a little 4 day Halloween mini trip. It was my first time meeting them and they were both SO nice, I had a great time!

My TL;DR trip report: The weather was amazing (y’all up north please don’t take advantage of trees changing colors in autumn, we don’t get that in the south and I’m quite jealous 😭), Salem was definitely festive, pretty much all stores were giving spooky vibes, even the pet stores and I even talked them into us touring the Lizzie Borden house which has been on my bucket list for like 15 years 🪓🤩 I definitely hope to hang out with them again someday, they’re just as passionate about creating comics and BL as I am and were great travel companions ❤️
