Patchwork outfit board
Added 2025-07-25 06:00:07 +0000 UTCA little behind-the-scenes while I take a one week break for the next Patchwork chapter: potential outfit concept art! I imagine the circus having a costume car with all shapes and sizes of outfits bought through the years, a bunch being interchangeable. Like I picture Crick's costume could also be for a magician, swordswallower, etc, it's just luck of the draw what fits, not a lot of good tailors in a traveling human experiment circus amirite lol Bit more of a breakdown:
Noah: He needed to be in something skin tight and flexible for his aerial acts, I took a lot of inspiration from figure skater costumes :)
Dane: I wanted him to look kinda dapper and patterned, like the baroque theme going on with Cricket. He kinda ended up looking like a pirate to me lol
Holly: All I knew going in was she had to have baggy pant legs to hide her springs and obviously themed with the feathers
Cricket: not pictured but his outfit was pretty easy to create. Pretty much direct inspiration from the Pablo clowns from Cirque du Soleil's Alegria

2025-07-25 17:10:11 +0000 UTCFun fact: in the script I had Noah wearing nothing but crop tops and slutty clothes but when I started drawing, it became hard to hide the ‘oh noes he got scars’ so he ended up with more baggy clothes instead 😂
