2022-03-26 18:34:10 +0000 UTCIt was pretty fake in many shots. Spielberg himself upon rewatching lamented the fakeness of the shark. The main problem was the gums that didn't dislocate when biting like a real great white giving the bite weight and force. Seriously the CG of 'The shallows' is insane in it's photorealism. The paleness of the flesh and the way it emerges out of the shadows with the lighting makes it look like a shark's mouth with teeth, it's genius. It also makes every reactor jump with fright.
