Character creation - Noah

I thought it might be interesting to go into my process of creating Noah and Cricket. Since you’ve all stuck with me on the behind-the-scenes journeys of S&S, why not start on PW! This might be fun, boring or insightful, who knows (We're starting with Noah since he was created first)

ORIGIN

- I had this boy drawn/planned out for SO many years.

- I originally designed him to be a Damian from Nine Stones knock-off in that he was going to be a cool hitman kinda character.. but that didn’t make it past the ‘wouldn’t it be fun if he was a cool hitman kinda character’ stage lol Since then he’s been forced into so many working plots from mafia to road trip to post-apocalyptic.

-His name has always been Noah, it carried over every potential plot, but his last name is new: Shaun, a lil tribute to ‘Shan’ since Darren Shan’s Cirque du Freak is my favorite book series 😋

-I'm pretty proud of the way he ended up for the circus story! A bit less edgy than he started but more complex, emotional and fun to write. Can't wait for you guys to meet him!

APPEARANCE

-He was always going to have messy, unruly looking hair (but important: always look more messy rather than spikey so if he starts going full Naruto, please warn me lol) and platinum blonde was a pretty early decision too.

-He was originally going to have tattoos, including an ear one and maybe a neck one but that all got scrapped with the circus theme.

-Worth noting a lot of his future circus outfits (and Cricket's ..and everyone else's) will most likely be heavily inspired by Cirque du Soleil (more specifically their Alegria show's grey/green/blue/beige color palettes)
