Plane Ride

[A short KimKy story for you guys! Rating: cutesy with a touch of horny through Kim’s pov :P Disclaimer as always: I'm an artist, not a writer so please don't be too hard (heh) on me! Anyway, onto Kim and his emotional support emo]

-—

We are now boarding Flight 180 to Colorado Springs at Gate 16A. Please make your way to the gate at this time.’ The announcer called over the airport intercom.

‘Oh shit, Wes is still in line for food, iddn’t he?’ Kylee turned around in his chair to look for the black-clad cowboy but couldn’t see him among the travelers walking every which way behind us. I sat next to him, my left leg bouncing up and down from nerves. I probably looked like I was ready to throw up.

‘Kim, if you don’t calm down they’re gonna tackle you for acting suspicious.’ Kylee joked. Which absolutely did not help me calm down. He stood up, pretty eager to get in line to board and slung his backpack over his shoulder. He grabbed my suitcase by the handle to signal it was time to move. ‘Come on, our chariot awaits.’

I sorta love him for his nonchalant take on my bordering panic attack. If he were any sort of dramatic, this would only be worse.

Wes came running back up to us right as we started walking, no food in hand. ‘Man, they would pull something like this, makin’ us board right when I got near the front of the line! Guess we’ll starve. How’s Kimrick?’

‘Still won’t say anything.’ Kylee told him.

‘I’m fine.’ I answered and snatched my suitcase handle out of Kylee’s hand. I’d been that short with everyone all day. I didn’t mean to. I think.

-

The three of us boarded the plane not too long after jumping in line. Kylee had window seat per his request, I sat to the right of him in the middle and Wes sat next to me on the aisle.

‘How many times have you flown in your life?’ Kylee asked me as we watched everyone else board the plane.

‘Six or seven maybe.’ I answered. I assumed he was looking for conversation but at that time that was all I was willing to give.

Wes put his headphones on and started a card game on his phone, instantly comfortable, almost like he did this everyday. Very much on brand with him. Kylee stared out the window, just excited to be brought along on our weekend business trip. Had he needed to go? No. Had he pestered me with a pity party about never getting to go anywhere fun and have me get fed up enough to buy him a plane ticket? Yes.

The flight attendant announced they would be closing the doors and I could almost feel my soul leave my body. What was it about flying that didn’t sit easy with me? Thousands of people fly every day, the pilots are very experienced, there’s nothing to be afraid of, “Yer more likely to die in a car crash than a plane”.. Well when you actually have witnessed deaths from car crashes, any form of transportation outside of your control can… maybe that was subconsciously it.

‘Wes, does this airline bring us food?’ Kylee asked, leaning over me and tapping him on the arm in case he didn’t hear through his music.

Wes took a headphone out. ‘Prob’ly a lil bag of trailmix er something. It’s only a 3 hour flight.’ He turned to me. ‘They offer alcohol though, Kimrick, does that sound good? Want something to drink?’

‘Don’t treat me like I need to be babysat, I said I’m fine.’ I mumbled. I wasn’t particularly snappy but there was a certain bite in my word choice. Now was not the right time for my employee to talk down to me, if there ever was a right time.

Before we knew it the plane began to roll across the tarmac and soon into position for take off. Kylee looked out the window with a huge smile plastered on his face. Bad weather was all he was concerned about leading up to this day but it was a perfect day for travel. Inside I envied that smile. What I wouldn’t give to have that right about now.

My admiring of him was interrupted by the rumble of the plane revving up and I started to get more anxious. I even started to feel a bit light headed. It would pass. Just breathe in deep through your nose and out through your mouth.

A minute passed and I opened my eye—which I hadn’t even realized was closed—when I heard Kylee reach down and fumble to get into the black backpack at his feet. He pulled out his black and grey striped hoodie. ‘It’s already cold in here.’ he stated aloud as he laid the hoodie over himself like a blanket.

The small distraction quickly faded as the plane rose off the ground, our center of gravity shifting back as we took to the clouds. Luckily so far it was an average take off and the loud humming from the plane eventually became softer and softer.. but my ears had failed to tell my stomach that as I still felt pretty fuckin’ queasy. Just breathe, James, just breathe.

A small touch on my left hand snapped me back into reality. Kylee’s hand, still underneath the hoodie he pulled out, had found my left hand on the armrest and started rubbing the top of it. I didn’t open my eye again but breathed out deeply when I felt that familiar touch. When he saw I was okay with it, he pulled my hand further under the hoodie that had draped in between us and intertwined our fingers. I still didn’t fight him and in fact, I gripped his hand back tighter.

I concentrated on breathing as he idly rubbed the back of my hand with his thumb and continued to watch our ascent out the window.

Through the entire takeoff and even a good while after we were stable in the sky, I never let go of his hand.

We reached the Airbnb later that evening after we had landed, rented a car and found a nearby restaurant for dinner. There was only an hour time difference from Texas to Colorado but that was enough for our bodies to tell us we were a lot more tired than the time on the clock said we should be. My body even more so with the amount of stress I unintentionally put it through that day.

The rental house was pretty basic, a somewhat nice view of trees but no mountains. We didn’t splurge on too nice of lodgings since we were only there for the weekend and we didn’t want to spend that kind of money anyway. Although had I known from the start Kylee would be joining us and he had never seen the Rocky Mountains, I might have dropped a couple hundred more on a fancier place with a scenic view.. More than a two bedroom hole in the wall anyway.

Kylee made himself comfortable on the living room couch, Wes scurried off to use the restroom and I scoped out the kitchen, dropping my water bottle and dinner leftovers in the fridge.

‘So I’m rooming with you, right, Kim?’ Kylee asked.

‘You’re sleeping right where you’re sitting, stowaway.’ I had lightened up significantly since landing but still seemed to keep my boss man mode locked and loaded.

‘Naaah, this room has too many windows, there’s no way I can sleep with this much light.’

‘..Kylee, if it were just me and you it’d be different.’ I said quietly so Wes couldn’t hear us.

‘Wes, I’m rooming with Kim! Do you care?!’ he yelled out, not even breaking eye contact with me.

‘No, go for it!’

‘See, Wes doesn’t care.’ he smiled devilishly at me. Was this kid serious?! I can’t with him. I squinted at him playfully defeated before sighing any obvious embarrassment away.

-

It didn’t take long for the jet lag to take the three of us over completely and after maybe an hour of small talk about the trip plans, the car we rented, where Wes used to live in Colorado and other random topics we split off to the bedrooms for the night.

The master room wasn’t very big but it was minimally decorated so it seemed more spacious. A queen-sized bed, two small nightstands and a small dresser with a single candle on it were all that we were accommodated with. And this was the master! Wes’s bedroom was just a bed and a nightstand but he didn’t care.

‘Bet you’ll be sleeping better tonight than last night now that the flight’s over, huh?’ Kylee crashed onto the well-cleaned and well-pillowed bed after tossing his pants to the corner of the room. I quietly changed into a plain shirt and sweatpants, turned off the light and laid down next to him in the bed, pulling the covers over both of us. I rolled on my side to face him but he was lying on his back, facing the ceiling with his eyes closed. He looked so content.

‘I wanted to thank you.’ I said quietly. Jet lag made my voice huskier apparently as I barely recognized it.

‘For?’ he asked, turning his head to me.

‘For what you did on the plane. I appreciate it, that’s all.’

‘Hey, it was nothin’, flying sucks!’ he brushed off. ‘Airports can be fuckin’ brutal, no one there is nice, planes are crowded and make crazy noises at take off, turbulence isn’t fun—’

‘How many times have you even been on a plane?’ I interrupted with a laugh.

‘..That was my first time.’ he answered. We both laughed. The faint moonlight from the window behind me allowed me to see his content smile and beautiful brown eyes.

I brushed his hair out of his face with my fingers after we went silent. He knew all too well what I wanted when I did that and he gave it to me. We both leaned in and our lips met, instantly folding in on each other like fitting puzzle pieces. We tasted each other silently for a few minutes, mouths working their best to scan every inch of the other.

Eventually my fingers reached around to rest at the back of his neck, which almost instinctively made us deepen the kiss. I playfully nipped at his bottom lip before sucking on it lovingly. The gesture caused a moan to escape his lips so softly that if I hadn’t felt his breath in my mouth, I might’ve missed it. Our tongues continued to dance, our breath continued to mingle, it felt so fucking good to loosen up after the day I had. I really needed this release. I was lucky to have him.

He tenderly wrapped his arm around my waist and rested his hand on my back. I didn’t know how far he’d wanted to take this, hell I didn’t even know, but almost instinctively my hand snaked down between us and began to rub his dick through his boxer briefs.

His hips twitched at the touch, possibly from not expecting it, but our mouths never separated and I could feel his body continue to squirm into the motion so I took that as a sign to keep going. I slipped my hand under the elastic of his underwear. His dick was warm which made me realize my hand had been slightly cold. He didn’t complain though outside of a small hiss as I fumbled around, grabbing, cupping, gripping, stroking.. it was an organized chaos.

Kylee continued to rock his hips into it and I felt myself starting to get the familiar warm tingles in my cock as well. His soft purring not helping. Or perhaps helping too much.

And then there was a knock at the door. Ky and I both immediately stopped the make out session and pulled apart but I left my hand in place inside his underwear, my fingers wrapped around his half-hard cock almost as if I removed my hand, it’d make our actions more obvious. Thank god it was under the bedsheets.

‘Hey guys, do you have an extra phone charger? I think I left mine at the airport..’ Wes whispered as he opened the door a crack and poked his head in. It was too light in the hall and too dark in our room for him to see anything but I was still frozen in fear.

‘…I didn’t bring an extra but you can borrow mine for the night.’ I sighed and sat up, finally removing my hand. I unplugged my already-mostly-charged phone on the nightstand and tossed the cord to the door.

It fell a bit short, causing Wes to step further into the room, letting more light in. Luckily we had already separated but I still felt like I should’ve scrambled away toward the dark corner of the room anyway, almost like I didn’t want him to see us in the same bed despite him knowing we were sharing one.

‘Thanks, I’ll go out and buy one tomorrow!’ Wes shut the door.

We waited to hear his footsteps carry him all the way to his room before getting comfortable again.

I laid next to Kylee and wrapped my arm around his waist, pulling us closer under the covers. ‘Let’s stop, these doors don’t have locks.’ I sighed with a smile.

‘Fiiine.’ he groaned, then grinned. ‘The bathroom does, though.’

‘How the fuck you gonna explain that to Wes? Sharin’ a bedroom is one thing, sharin’ a bathtub is another.’ I whispered, as if I still thought Wes was on the other side of the door.

‘Haha, with that irony being we really have taken more baths together than apart!’ Ky added. We both laughed. I kissed him again, softer and more sensual this time and we broke apart, smiling.

We fell asleep with him in my arms.

Wes never bought his fucking charger.

Aaw thanks for the positivity! I’m not that hard on myself, though, don’t worry!! It was more a joke warning since my scripts usually end up sounding more like the Peterotica episode of Family Guy than they do JRR Tolkien haha!

No way! I used to live right by Colorado Springs! :) Also, that last line, LOL!

You write just fine. This is what I tell all my friends though. Never take a look at someone elses writing and compare unless it's for growing and learning. Never look at someone elses and think 'mines not as good as theirs is'. Because it never will be. Not to be a negative statement. It is just that. You are you and they are them. You can't be them. So you can't write like them. You can aspire to be similar or on par. But never look at your own art, writing, or any thing your doing and go 'its not as good as theirs' Turn it positive and say 'I like their writing, I'll study it and learn to get better'. It's the way it's thought of. You did great. It's your style. your writing. *two thumbs up*

What a fookin' awesome thing to read on this Monday morning <3

Dani

Wow, this story was a whole ass meal. I loved it! They're so sweet with each other in it. I loved Kylee comforting Kim. Also Kylee 'forcing' his way into Kim's bed. I'm sure Kim slept better having someone to hold ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amanda Ellis

"And he never bought a fucking charger" 🤣🤣

RJ

Awe I absolutely adored this, very cute to see from Kim's perspective since he can be hard to read at times. Reading how he looks at Kylee makes my heart swoon. Very sweet and definitely left me wanting more with that ending 🤣♡

Vorzeros

<3 Good job! Anytime you wanna share little scenes like this with us, you should! It doesn't have to be perfect and we all love to see it.

Mccull

Honestly this warmed my fucking heart so much!! The comic is from Kylee's pov so seeing their interactions through Kim's eyes is a blessing ❤️❤️

Adrianna

This was so cute! And the airplane scene is SUPER well written. From someone who gets severe flight anxiety you captured it perfectly!
