That monologue at the end is a gut punch. I constantly thank service persons for their service when I see them, especially the old men wearing their Veteran hats

When I first watched it, I was definitely expecting a dumb and over-the-top action movie - but instead it was a sad story about trauma and injustice. Rambo really tries his best not to kill the people pursuing him, which makes what they put him through even more tragic. Even the antagonist felt realistic and three-dimensional - a small-town sheriff who feels his authority or reputation is being threatened, and who is motivated by ego instead of evil.
