i read the book and remember there had to be some changes but w the acting and work put in, it worked perfectly. I think if Kemi thought well of this film, Hearts in Atlantis should be a lock. Another very underrated film.

When I tell people it's a great movie, with Kathy Bates's greatest performance (one of the greatest movie performances ever IMO), they're always doubtful. Until they see the movie. And great performances by Jennifer Jason Leigh (Selina) and Judy Parfitt (Vera) as well. "Sometimes being a bitch is all a woman has to hang onto." One of the great movie lines!
