2023-01-15 05:18:30 +0000 UTCThe final position of Truman on that sailboat after being tormented by Christof is oddly reminiscent of images of Jesus' descent from the cross -- both being singled out to "carry the burden" of the masses (Truman in the form of escapism from everyone's boring lives). Also, the director's name is not-so-subtly named Christof.
