Perhaps this is an alternative timeline where Frodo kept the ring, he was such a scheming little shit in this 😆 Our memories, whether they be painful or pleasurable, are like building blocks to our development as individuals. Some of those blocks (the painful ones)...they can be a struggle to fit in sometimes. I guess they goes in line with what you said about compartmentalising memories. Time will come for when they are to be fitted in with the rest of the gang & keep on building. Loved, loved both Jim Carrey's & Kate Winslet's performances, they were fantastic on screen together.
