First things first, I hope all of you had a great start into the year of 2024!
In my case it started a bit rough, which had me pause my work on AEMoS for a few days to change my routine a bit. The reason for that can be found on the Patreon section of my discord, where I post news a bit more regulary.
During that time I spent my time coding alot, beginning anew with Downside in a 3D enviroment. With the experience from this, I am sure I can handle it in a larger scale with better assets, and 3rd Person + First Person Camera.
The past days I have worked alot on getting an actually simulated NPC to work and I have made huge progress in what feels like very short time. Pathfinding and Navigation have been configured (as of now), which was one of my first concerns. Then I added different behaviour and below you can see the current state. As of now our NPC eats, digests, uses the toilet and takes a rest for comfort. More will be added and adjusted accordingly.
But with the pathfinding being my biggest concern, and now seemingly working flawlessly, I don't see any hurdles for at least the NPC.
The upcoming day(s) I'll be making a poll whether development on Downside shall continue for now, or be delayed until later.
The poll will be accessable along with the AEMoS update I announced, as I will now get back to finishing the update.
Alot of the scenes dialog will be re-written, for this update this only affects the general store enounters.
