In the 1980s, my mom drove a red Chevy Chevette car ... and my brothers and I got her to start calling it her Little Red Chevette, after this Prince song. My mom must have mentioned her Little Red Chevette to one of her younger friends at church and that friend told her that the lyrics to this song were dirty and about getting down in a run-around girl's "love machine." And my mom got soooooo mad at us! And she never again referred to her car as the Little Red Chevette. :-)

It's the part where he goes "Ooo Oooh Girl, you got an ass like I've never seen. And the ride. I say the ride is so smooth. You must be a limousine!" I never listen to the single version, 'cause I always need to hear that part. Haha! π
