Diva is one of my favorite albums. Every song on it is amazing, including this opening track. I graduated from high school the year it came out and "Why" was playing a lot on the radio. So many things happened to me that year (not a breakup though), and this song in particular is heavily associated in my mind with that big year in my life, 30 years gone now. And yet when I hear it I'm 17 again with my whole life still ahead of me.
