i only knew of Cyndi Lauper' version

2020-11-21 10:45:45 +0000 UTCRoy's version of this song was recorded in 1987 as it was of course intended for him. But it wasn't released until 1992. (HE DIED IN 1988) Meanwhile Cyndi Lauper did her version in 1989 and was a top ten smash. Celiine Dion recorded hers much later in the year 2000. I heard Cyndi's version first so therefore I like hers the best but I could certainly listen to Roy's version as well. I don't recall hearing Celine's version so I can't comment on it. Yes I'm driving all night and I would gladly drive for miles just to get to you. 💙 😉
