I find it funny that the Usa are afraid that a foreign country is spying on their users when they do the exact same thing. I think that the trend of foreign state sponsored propaganda campaigns on social media is a much bigger threat right now, one the latest example of such unhinged tactics being the elections happening in Romania right. That would be a valid reason to ban a social media app. Also, I must say that I'm disappointed in people in general: on one hand, people are very skeptical about traditional media like tv, radio and newspaper to the point of being conspiracy theorists, yet they will gobble up the biggest bs on social media just because there's some cool music in the background or some dancing monkey in the video, where did we go wrong?
