Patroncast S04E08 - A more personal episode

Hey everyone!

In this week's patroncast, we'll talk about more personal stuff:

- 00:35 The channel, and what I have planned (that's not the personal part)

- 07:28 Procrastinating on doing paperwork, and how I really need to find a way to not dread the end of each month where I have tons of that to do

- 15:35 Meeting back with my little brother after almost 2 years, and how it made me calmer about the future and what I'll do if Youtube ever stops being my career

I hope you'll enjoy this one, and have a great week!

It seems to work for me as well now! I booked a specific time on Monday for accounting / invoicing / emailing, and another one on Friday, and for now, i'm managing to stick to it, it does feel nice to get rid of that feeling of dread :D

The Linux Experiment

The only way I get anything done is by implementing a strict schedule for it. iE: Accounting is always every Tuesday. If it is Tuesday, you do accounting. If there is no accounting to do on that Tuesday, you verify to be absolutely sure and rejoice. If it is Wednesday and you feel you should do accounting, you do not do accounting - it isn't Wednesday.

Most of the time, if you want to change things, you need to change you thinking about it. To change how you think about doing taxes or something, try to give yourself a reward after each small task that you make. For example, I will eat (not recommended) something that I like after sending this invoice. After a while instead of thinking about it as something horrid it will be something neutral or even "fun" depending what you like doing. PS: Had a friend that decided, that as a reward will do 10 pushups and it worked for him ;-)
