Channel updates, and ranting about Flatpak - Patroncast S03E22
Added 2023-06-05 07:37:05 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I hope you're all doing well, and that you're ready to hear me rant about one of my favorite topics, because here is episode 22 of your exclusive Patroncast!
In this one, I talk about:
- 01:02: the channel, how last week went, what's planned for this week, and an interesting idea submitted by one of you to showcase the topic votes and their results
- 17:24 Flatpak! As Red Hat abandons the RPM for LibreOffice in favor for the Flatpak, I've been having conversations about Flatpak that seemed misinformed at best, and narrow minded at worst, so I wanted to talk about the subject a bit more.
I hope you'll enjoy listening to this one!
Have a great week!

Ah well that settles it, it's going to be a Patreon perk. Can't risk the channel for a bit more interaction...

2023-06-07 14:34:14 +0000 UTCre: livestream, sadly YouTube seems to hate Q&A livestreams. PBS Space Time is still recovering from the last livestream they did which hurt them a lot (quite unexpectedly) - even when there's no vod. so while that sounds cool, maybe that is something that will have to be Patreon only or something like that.

2023-06-07 12:17:45 +0000 UTCre: shorts - the best kind of short in my opinion is one that compliments existing content without taking from it. so for example, for the short time Veronica did Word of the Week, she published a short explaining the word, then a long video discussing it. a short that provides info while rewarding people for watching the longer video is probably the best.
