Plans for the week, Sponsor troubles, and working out - Patroncast S03E18
Added 2023-05-08 06:50:52 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend (which also extends to today if you're French, because we have a ton of off days in May)!
Here is the next episode of the Patroncast, which I might have called episode 19 in the podcast itself, but it's actually episode 18.
In this one, I talk about:
- 00:46: the experience of leaving Odysee, how the channel is doing, and the plans for the videos this week
- 10:49: troubles with one of my sponsors, that might mean I'll have to stop working with them
- 18:07: resuming working out, running, and weight training, and trying to start cooking again
I hope you'll enjoy listening to it!
Best,
Nick

I hope it will work out, yeah, I'd be disappointed if I couldn't keep working with them

The Linux Experiment
2023-05-09 14:12:41 +0000 UTCWell that whole mess with Odysee makes me think low of them.. sorry you had to go through that crap. As far as Linode, I'd be surprised if they can't 'grandfather' you in since they've done business with you for such a good period of time. They'd be foolish to not go forward with you. But, sometimes the 'overlords' don't really care and follow their rules by the book.. Curious to see how that turns out.
2023-05-09 02:25:47 +0000 UTCI gave Odysee a try a few years back when they were... LBRY or something right? I remember all the content being a little off, and shortly after that they went all in on the crypto thing. Seemed like a confluence of bad ideas, and I'm sadly not surprised that the community has soured. Uff, well hopefully that will be the end of it for you. Interesting about the Linux-can-do video. It didn't really feel "made for me" as someone who is already a user, but maybe it did so well because it was expanding your audience? Could be something to experiment with.
